Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. Arrived in severe abdominal pain. Sat from 2:00 am until 6:00 am in ER Lobby waiting to be seen. I understand Covid-19 man power shortage. End result at 730/745. Sent home with fluids in my spouse, anti biotics, and IV pain and nausea meds. Come back...if you get worse. Over the previous day and a half we were in two other hospital ER waiting rooms, each time for 5:00 or so hours before being seen. My issue is not with the care given but with how long it took to be seen. Again, I understand Covid-19 has f...fouled up our world. But thinking back what was the length of time you spent prior to being actually seen in ER. Covid questions, temperature, BP, don't count as being seen. I have never for myself or family been less than three hours. One was a heart attack. Other than the length of wait....

EVERYONE is nice and extremely helpful - if you look lost rest assured every 200 feet someone will stop to help you. The care is exceptional so it's well worth being a little confused about where you're going. I came up the wrong elevators and couldn't find my car. I had to go back outside and walk around the way I came in so that I could figure out where my car was. Sections might help.
