I visited this shop yesterday and had the worst experience. The woman at the counter (petite, medium to dark brown skin, natural hair puff, 40s to early 50s) did not speak to me when I walked in, yet she spoke to every other customer who walked in after me. Therefore I was unaware of the COVID masking policy until another customer came in and she informed them that they needed a mask. This could end up being unsafe, if not every customer is notified of the policy upon entering the store. After selecting my item, I got in line and the woman spoke very kindly to every customer who reached the counter. However, once it was my turn, her attitude changed drastically. When I tried to make small talk, she didnât respond and instead loudly offered me a sample of a product. When I asked an innocent question about the product, she told me to âjust readâ the jar and shoved it in my face (no exaggeration!). Then when I asked her about the amount of product that would come in the sample, she glared at me like I was stupid. Then she said, âNever mind, youâre not going to get it.â Despite my politeness and attempts to make her apparently bad day better with my words, she wasnât having it. She refused to make eye contact with me for the remainder of the transaction. When I sincerely complimented the packaging of my item, she didnât respond. As I walked out, wishing her a blessed day, she quickly talked over me to the next customer in line. Very disappointing experience, as I was looking forward to my visit there. The shop, with all its beautiful items for sale, would be such a gem if not for this womanâs toxic,...
Read moreThe owners of the store Mr. Michael & Mrs. G had a welcome attitude. The store is a combination with an abundance of African themes. The boutique, clothing, home decor, library, hygiene, essential perfume oils, jewelry etc. The owner gives knowledge on certain products you may have questions about, to the best of their abilities. Unfortunately, the store does not have any kind of restrooms available. If, you need an a restroom. You will have to go to nearby local stores or restaurants. I'm unsure of non-service or service support animals are allowed or not in the store. Personally, I never had a bad experience within this place. I'm aware everyone has different experiences. Please keep in mind, some store owners may not always be in favor of pets or animals within their business. For any given reasons such as phobia, allergies, pets not being properly potty trained, or hair shedding might get on the clothes etc. If, you have any questions or comments, or concerns. In regarding those matters, you can ask the owners. Through email, phone call, voicemail or meet...
Read moreWorst experience in a store ever!!! I have never been disrespected by a store employee as I was today. I was passing through Winston after a 4 hour car ride with my small children. As we passed by this establishment I walked in to ask if they had a restroom, the lady at the desk politely told us no. As we were walking out, a lady offered us a mask. I declined because we were leaving and told her that we were looking for a bathroom. She said with a nasty attitude the this was a retail store NOT a bathroom or a place to ask for a bathroom!!! And as we continued to walkout of the store she continued to tell us that is was not a place to ask for a bathroom it was a retail store. So I told her that I wouldn't be back, and she said that she was glad and didn't want us to come back. Uncalled for, completely!!! If you want to be judged by all means shop there! A simple answer to a simple question was all that was needed. What a rediculiously rude...
