Low-key, comfortable place to try some local brews. The selections change up now and then, and it's fun to try out new flavors. You can count on a variety of styles: sour, ale, stout. Tonight I had the Hibiscus Wheat, with a beautiful hue and pleasing taste. The tapster is hospitable and accommodating, not rushing us out at closing. Several separate spaces--the bar, picnic tables downstairs, and chairs and a sofa on the back end--offer a place for all preferences. Glad we have this in Downtown Wiscasset. Read moreWe held a birthday celebration last week at Aekeir Brewing Tasting Room and it was fantastic. The beer is delicious and cheap. $6.00/glass! Jeremy is the owner and brewer, and he has many interesting beers that changed weekly. No food is served, but we brought in pizza, lobster rolls and cake from nearby restaurants. (Red's Lobster Roll is two blocks away.)There are picnic tables downstairs that accommodated all of else.
