My experience at Nazranaa has been extraordinary!!! Months before my wedding, I took a quick trip to New Jersey with my Mom and brother to order my Nazranaa outfit. Unfortunately my husband couldn't attend due to his work schedule. However, he still got what he wanted..stay tuned! My first impression of Nazranaa was that I was walking into a sophisticated, beautiful, modern and classy boutique. Coming from Florida, Nazranaa was definitely an upgrade. I met with some of Shia's assistants first to choose my color and design. This was the first time in my life that an Indian boutique was able to understand my vision and give me what I wanted. Unlike most Indian brides, I chose purple as the color for my bridal lehenga since it is my favorite color and the theme for my wedding. After trying on a couple red pieces in the design I liked, I was assured that they could make it purple for me. Once I was in the design I chose, I met Shia and had a fangirl moment! It felt surreal to finally meet (in-person) the designer I dreamed of designing my bridal lehenga. Shia personally assisted me with all my measurements, selected the 2nd dupatta I wanted across my body and gave her jewelry team a heads up on what pieces would go best with everything. Before myself and my Mom could give our recommendations, Shia took the thoughts right out of our heads and brought it to life. Never have I seen an Indian boutique's owner and their team go above and beyond to make me look my utmost best. The jewelry team at Nazranaa found the perfect earrings, necklace, sirbindu, and customized my own pair of bangles. After trying on everything, I felt like a real Indian Bride! Customary to our Guyanese culture, my Mom selected some jewelry pieces for my husband to wear on our wedding day. She chose a beautiful Groom's necklace and turban broch that would match his Sherwani. Since I came from Florida, Shia gave me detailed instructions on when I would receive the proof via WhatsApp, when my outfit would arrive via mail, when my virtual fitting would be and what size heels I should wear. We stayed in constant communication throughout.
My husband and in-laws had an amazing experience with Nazranaa as well! Since he couldn't make it in-person, he did a virtual appointment with Shia's team, myself and in-laws. I always wanted my bridal lehenga to be a surprise for my husband until our wedding day and Nazranaa kept it that way. After listening to what my husband envisioned, my sister-in-law and mother-in-laws suggestions, Shia's team was able to put together his outfit exquisitely. They incorporated the colors of my lehenga and 2nd dupatta into my husband's Sherwani, scarf, turban and shoes. After he selected everything, they did virtual measurements. As Shia's team asked for each body measurement with their male model, my sister-in-law and brother-in-law measured with their tape measure and gave the needed sizes. Shia's team gave my husband and in-laws detailed instructions on when he would receive the proof via WhatsApp, when his outfit would arrive via mail and when his virtual fitting would be. Despite being a virtual appointment, everything went smoothly and was a success!
When both my bridal lehenga and husband's Sherwani came, ourselves and families were both in awe. We literally felt like an Indian King and Queen! Shia and her team captured our vision perfectly. Everything and all accessories fit perfectly!
I have great respect, admiration and love for Shia and Nazranaaa! If my husband and I did not receive our outfits from them, our wedding would not be a success. We recommend Nazranaa to all brides and grooms. Trust me, you will not be...
Read moreFor me, the wedding outfits selection process started off super painful. My wife decided to keep all of her outfits a surprise from me so without fully knowing what she would be wearing, I would have to coordinate with her. From the beginning I knew that I didn't want a standard wedding outfit, off the shelf -- I really wanted something simple, but elegant when it came to the embroidery design. I probably searched through hundreds of pictures before my wife finally set up an appointment with Shashank and brought me to Nazranaa. I couldn't express my vision through words so he started off by showing me some outfits. He encouraged me to try some on, but none of them hit the mark I was looking for. After spending about 30 mins going back and forth, we finally stumbled upon something that caught my eye, but not as is. Shashank was able to start envisioning what I wanted and prompting me with questions; he was able to fully understand the vision that I had in my mind. Together we came up with a custom outfit based on one that I tried on in the store; I was starting to feel excited about it. We went through the same process with my garba outfit. I wanted something that was modern and traditional that played homage to Gujarat village. He had the perfect idea taking elements from his newest collection, but then modifying it to fit my vision and also was able to accommodate my request for dhoti pants. I was a bit hesitant to pay for the entire outfit upfront, but Shashank assured me that Shia would be sending me updates regularly on the progress of the outfit and if I didn't like anything, it could be changed. We placed the order mid-February and by early April we started receiving the first swatch samples. Shia was always very responsive on WhatsApp and was great at providing her opinions on the options presented. We always felt like our vision was being considered and a professional honest opinion was also given.
Given COVID, there were definitely some delays, but Shia made sure that the outfits would be ready in time for my wedding. When I went in for my first fitting, my initial reactions were mixed. I loved that I was finally able to see my vision come to life, but the outfits didn't seem to be tailored to my body and so they didn't look that great on me. Shia assured me that they always make everything bigger so that they have room to tailor it down and they would be able to fix everything in one week. She proved me wrong and by the time I came back the following week, everything fit perfectly. I was really pleased with the overall experience and the quality of the outfits. Shia and Shashank make a great team and for anyone who needs help bringing the vision out of them, I highly recommend going to Nazranaa. I received countless compliments on my outfits and I'm obsessed with the super comfortable shoes that match each of my outfits. Thank you Shia and Shashank! Proud to call myself a Nazranaa Groom!
My wife ordered all of her wedding jewelry and bangles from Nazranaa - she had a vision in mind and didn't want something too overpowering, but after speaking to one of the ladies at the store, she reassured my wife with some gorgeous options that looked bridal but not too much. It matched her wedding outfit perfectly! We were both so pleased with our process! Can't wait to attend another event so we can work with Nazranaa and customize or buy more...
Read moreMy fiancé proposed Christmas Eve (12/24/2018), engagement ceremony was March 2019 and our wedding was August 31, 2019. My time to plan and organize was very short but like many brides to be I’ve dreamt and planned this day since I was a young girl. I was also on what culturally and tradition may say is old when I got married but being over 30 when I got married means I attended many weddings and had a good idea of what I wanted and did not want. I’ve seen the ads and social media posts about the popular NJ boutique Nazranaa and leveled it up with being the Kleinfeld of Indian Wedding attire. Being a first time bride I wanted to experience everything bridal and have all the moments I’ve long awaited for. I went to Nazranaa just for the experience because I thought I would never have any other reason to go there otherwise. I did not think I could afford to buy from there let alone my wedding outfit. I was so wrong!! The 3rd outfit I tried on I said this is it.. this my wedding lengha. When I first walked in I was mesmerized and excited to just step foot in this iconic boutique. I was paired with a lovely kind and courteous associate (Sattie/Savi I think was her name.. she was IndoCaribbean/West Indian). I told her my budget and style; I didn’t think I would find anything but she pulled a few pieces. After the first I explained what I liked and didn’t like and she had a better visual and idea of what I wanted and was able to pull from the back to match. When I tried on my wedding lengha I knew this is what I wanted and had all the feels and more when you find your wedding outfit. I was then told I can wear 2 dupattas because I wanted to wrap one to have a sari look and the second to have the look of a long veil. I never thought of that and when the associate showed me how I looked I was in awe!! For my reception dress I was not wearing a western white wedding gown and wanted an Indian dress. I tried on 2 dresses and then I was told if I don’t find what I want but like bits and pieces of other outfits I can use as a model/ base/foundation to create my own. Again I thought this would be too expensive. After meeting with Shia and showed her the dress I liked she said it was possible and it was in my budget!!! I was never pushed to go outside my budget. As I explained to Shia the design and details of the dress, she literally sketched it in front of me.. it’s like she was able to read my mind! To see my wedding reception dress come to life on paper in front of me was such an exciting and amazing moment. My wedding reception dress was truly custom to my liking and design. I would highly recommend all brides/brides to be to visit Nazranaa especially if you are looking for custom design. Shia can draw!! She is a true designer. My ceremony dress was off the rack and I added a custom 2nd dupatta. My reception dress was custom design and all...
