I moved to Woodburn not far from this park and I come here almost daily to walk my dog, theres a soccer field, basketball and pickleball courts. Also a walkway around the park with light exercise stations spread out around the park. Friendly atmosphere normally with a mixture of kids playing ppl walking dogs. Small playground area for kids. A few homeless ppl the park, some Ive seen attempting to build a small cabin down the hill from the walk way in the bushes, the ppl were aggressive to ppl who took notice and complained about it to the ppl, which I dont know if they finished the cabin but they drug alot of wood down there one day arguing with the walkers who inquired about what they were doing. Hopefully the police who is a block away ran them out of there, dont need that energy in a family and kid friendly park. Besides that its a clean well kept nice place to spend some time outside, theres wild 🐇 that run around which is pretty nice to see hopefully no one tries...
Read moreLegion Park on Park Ave. Woodburn is a great place! I use a scooter so need to find wheelchair accessible sights. I've gone several times looking for a time to throw ball for my dog. Its always packed with Moms, Dads and kids playing soccer. After school practice and games on Sundays. Once a Soccer match and a car show at once! There is always those $1.50 Mexican Tacos cooked fresh and lots of snacks available at a tented table. I got down there mid afternoon on a Thursday and found the park was mine..I drove through the parking lot and found a very nice paved trail around beautiful old growth trees and open area with covered BBQ area. There are fitness stations in several places as you progress around the trail. The dogs ran off lead through the trees and we played fetch to exhaustion... Its open all the time. Dogs on leash when others are seen. Loads of great alone time in the...
Read moreThis is a small park with gorgeous trees. However, that being said, it's truly a shame because my partner and I don't feel safe at this park. We've been approached by bigoted people here. LGBTQIA+ people be aware. The person who approached and harassed us appeared to have been a man (of course) that was day drinking under a tree. I've seen him at the park before, he appears to be a regular. Really disappointing that this stupid man ruined a beautiful park for us, but unfortunately our safety and mental health is more important. There are plenty of other beautiful...
