This is a fantastic shop. I'm a record store manager in an indie shop also, but this store impressed me very much. Many genres represented in their own sections, mostly alphabetized. The new stuff was inexpensive, curated well. The used stuff was super affordable, I felt like I was committing crimes. They'll mail you your purchases if you're traveling. The young lady at the counter was cool and knowledgeable. This is old style record shopping at its best. It's hard for me to like other stores, honestly they're the only one I like beside work and 2 (now 1) shops in New Orleans. I was passing through after picking up a large record collection up north and driving it down back to my store in Miami when I was told about Earth River Records. Charlotte was so nice and helpful + we spent a good amount of time just chopping it up about music that we both enjoyed. I picked up some pieces needed to fill in my personal collection from Tuxedomoon to Hole to Frank Strozier. Impressive metal & jazz sections. International...
Read moreLove this place, it's definitely a hidden gem for vinyl collectors. They even have a little seating area with toys for young kids who get bored while parents are shopping. The owner Morgan is humble but he knows his stuff and is super friendly, and the other staff are friendly, helpful and have their own unique knowledge. The prices here really can't be beat. They've got new and used, and if they don't have what you're looking for they do their best to get it. We love getting lunch at Siam Thai next door and coming by to browse. You never have to worry about finding parking here like you do downtown!...
