We loved our stay at Log Cabin Motor Court! If you're looking for a cozy, laid-back getaway with vintage charm, this is the place. The cabins are rustic but clean and well-maintained, with just the right blend of old-school character and modern comfort. Our cabin slept four, and while the kitchen area was a bit tight for cooking, it’s a 1930s historic cabin—that's part of the charm! We enjoyed the chance to live a little like people did back then. The setting is peaceful and tucked among the trees. It truly feels like stepping back in time. We especially loved sitting on the porch in the mornings and even made some new friends with neighbors staying in the nearby cabins. The location is perfect—close to downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway, yet far enough out to feel like a true escape from the hustle. Check-in was seamless. We received a text with our cabin code about 30 minutes before check-in, along with contact information in case we needed anything during our stay. Highly recommend if you're looking for something unique and relaxing—definitely a welcome break from the typical hotel experience.

We spent the weekend at these adorable cabins. It was the perfect getaway. The cabins are super cute and historic yet with all the comforts of home. Large comfy bed, full kitchen with table and 2 chairs. The room had heat and AC so temperature was always comfortable. We loved the rocking chairs on the front porch. The added bonus is they are dog friendly so we got to bring our bestest hiking buddy with us. She had her own fenced in yard which was so great. There is also a fire pit for the community as well as another fenced in dog area. The area is great because there is so much to do nearby: the river for kayaking is a few minutes away, lakes, lots of restaurants, grocery stores, parks and of course downtown Asheville. We spent the weekend exploring and drove up the Blue Ridge Parkway to see the hints of fall color starting. It was a perfect weekend. Definitely recommend and will be back!

If you're looking for a truly pet-friendly place to stay, and go in knowing you're not going to have luxury accommodations, this place is hard to beat for the price. I stayed in Cabin 12 ("Sleepy Susan". It was a perfect size for me and my dog. The cabin was immaculately clean. It is definitely rustic, but everything works as it should, including the fireplace. There is even a fenced-in dog play area on the property.. The location is great, too. Remember, this is a rustic place - the floors are slanted, the bathroom plumbing is original to the place, and there are no stainless steel appliances or granite countertops. Set your expectations appropriately and you will enjoy your stay. If you are a picky person who complains a lot, I'd look elsewhere.

This place is super popular with tourists and for whatever reason, silver-haired Land Rover Defender owners who appear to cross-country those buckets some how. Anyways back to the cabin things. These are not secluded cabins in the typical sense but these are cute little cabins (in the physical construction sense) literally ten feet off a cery busy and centralized road that connects Weaverville and Asheville. They are very overpriced for what you end up actually getting which is not much. However if you do end up staying make sure you ask for one of the small one bedroom cabins as those are actually historic preservation listed buildings and are super cool and cozy and clean but if you stay in some of the larger house like lodgings they offer you won't be very impressed it just felt like a hotel that wasn't updated since 1982. But the small one bedroom ones have a cute patio and are actually cabins. The showers are dark and dingy and the toilets are cramped seeings as when they were built in 20s they originally had out houses and literally had to add a bathroom to a room that can only fit a bed. If you want a nice cozy place to get away from typical hotels and are staying by yourself you will enjoy the small historic cozy one bedroom cabins but if you're looking to make this one of the attractions for the family don't do it. The owner and employees are very nice but they leave you to your self mainly and aren't there after sundown. The thing that surprised me most was for such a dark and dusty room how clean and comfy the bed actually was. No bed bugs no stains clean towels no funky smells WiFi TV...

I really wanted to like this rustic get-away, but had a hard time dealing with the lack of cleanliness and the inability to use the amenities. The shower was not usable for several reasons, chief among them was the unevenness of the floor and the lack of tile and grout around the drain. The stack pipe in the shower had a nasty-looking leak that may have been waste or sewer leakage. There was mildew on the soap holder as well. Both the bath mat and the shower mat were obviously not washed after a previous guest’s use.||||There were rodent droppings in the kitchen and some enterprising rodent actually made a nest in the silverware drawer. Pots and pans were well-used and needed to be cleaned before we could use them. Dishes were a hodge-pogo of remnants left-over from a yard sale. A trip to Dollar Tree could go a long way to making the kitchen more inviting.||Rustic hardwood floors still need to be cleaned… a broom and dustpan in the corner of the living room invited the guest to do some cabin-keeping of their own.||||The WiFi signal was spotty at best. The cable TV remote didn’t work and the volume on the TV wasn’t adjustable. It was either low or lower. A maintenance person was able to get the remote working, but the TV volume could not be adjusted.||||On a positive note, the bed was comfortable and linens were clean.||||We will not be returning to these cabins, despite the friendliness of the manager. She commiserated with us regarding our complaints, but wasn’t able to do much...

Overall, we were satisfied. If you use a hotel to just sleep and shower, this is the place. The price compared to other places in Asheville matches what you will experience. Arriving after office hours, your key is outside their door. I suppose they have never had security problems with that or they wouldn’t do it. The door to our cabin required two hands to open – one for the deadbolt and, at the same time, one for the knob – which was sometimes inconvenient. Their pictures make the rooms look larger than they are. Everything was clean. There was plenty of hot water. I don’t see how a big person could use the small toilet in its small space in the small bathroom. But they certainly had to make a bathroom with the space they had once outhouses stopped being a thing there. The sink is in the bedroom, with too little shelf space for your stuff. We ended up using the kitchen sink and counter space since we weren’t cooking. The TV’s maximum volume was too low to hear well. They seem to be in the process of replacing lights with bright LEDs only when one burns out. So it was a bit dark. They don’t provide tissues or paper towels (even with a full kitchen). Extra blankets, towels, etc. are in a closet in the...
