You must absolutely come to this park when you visit Mid-Massachusetts. Lots of cute animals are waiting for you right here!
Green hill park is one of my favorite parks in mid-Mass. It’s so big and beautiful. There’re well maintained hiking trails, biking trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, and barbecue spots. Moreover there’s a FREE small petting zoo, named Barnyard Zoo. So many cute animals here such as alpacas, goats, pigs, mini horses, sheep, and peafowl. They’re friendly and so adorable. I love this place so much and I think the park is good for everyone, especially for family with kids. Highly recommended!

Having said that, this is an ideal spot for young kids, perhaps 7 and under. They have sheep, donkeys, llamas, chickens, peacocks, and goats. Since it's small the kids tend not to get overwhelmed. None of the animals are aggressive, and it's surprisingly clean. In recent years they have added a new entryway, upgraded the walking path, and improved the playground areas. It's free, so no harm in checking it out. I just wouldn't recommend going out of your way. If you live close and need an activity for some young kids you could do...
Read moreSmall "zoo" with about 6 different animals but it is a nice place to take smaller children or if your looking for a place to practice your photography. They have two play areas located in the zoo and plenty of hand sanitizing stations as well. The animals were awake and active. We had a chance to see the staff feed some of the animal which my boys enjoyed. It is free to enter the zoo and there are public bathrooms available as well. There was a vending machine located right across from the entrance and they have plenty of benches located throughout the park for people who want to rest or just...
