I have been here in the past, before the current owners, so when I heard we were having a function here I was a little skeptical. The new owners, however, have really transformed the space and elevated it to feel elegant and professional without being too ritzy.
The staff was nice, and they were accommodating to our smaller size group. (35 ish) They were very friendly and quick in clearing out plates
What really made them stand out, though, is the food. Veggie lasagna was outstanding. The simple pasta and meat sauce was also very good.
The only think I'd say that leans negative, and these are not by any means deal breakers or things that would put me off from going back: The mens restroom was half dated and needs a new vanity / hand wash area They replaced the old yellow ceiling tiles with new bright white but it only draws attention to the ceiling tile tracks, along with the lighting fixtures themselves, being the old yellowed color, showing their age The drinks are incredibly weak. They use a controlled pour which is fine for consistency and cost control but usually you get 1.5 oz. Per drink. I think these pourer spouts were more like 0.75 oz. Per pour.
That being said, it was a good experience. It was nicer looking than I expected, the food was much better than expected, and everything looked like it was done professionally and properly.
I will certainly consider them for future...
Read moreThe owners, Leah and Jeremy, are one dynamic duo! Jeremy djs playing whatever song you request, or Playlist you provide. The jams are so cohesive and are guaranteed to get you out of your seat. Leah is the the whole package! From making sure all your needs / wants are met as well as making sure your special event is everything you expected and then some. The food is always phenomenal and the whole experience is above all expectations. They have given the hall a major updating and can accommodate many color combos! Their uplighting, monogram / gobo lights on the dance floor are super beautiful and such a great personal touch, plus they offer a photobooth as well, and a scrapbook of every picture taken for a personal keepsake. There is a bar option as well as a midnight snack option. There is linen and decor, setup and clean up, and indoor ceremony options. All in one stop shop! If I could leave a 10 star review, I would! You wouldn't be disappointed hosting any event from a birthday, baby shower, funeral luncheon, wedding, and beyond at the hall! Leah is awesome! You'd definitely miss out if you didn't use them...
Read moreAttended the Salvation Army Annual Meeting that was held at Biddle Hall this evening and was very impressed. Everyone at my table spoke of how nice the hall is and how good the food was. One of the nicest things was while speakers were talking the staff was so quiet you didn’t even realize they cleared the tables of the empty dishes (the food was so good everyone cleared their plates). I’ve been to other halls for speaking events and you can always here noise of dishes being cleared or from the kitchen so it was nice to be able to enjoy the speakers without distractions. The perception of limited parking Downtown Wyandotte is not an issue with Biddle Hall. They have a parking lot in the back of their building and ample parking with the parking lot directly across the street. I appreciate that the owners donate food to the Salvation Army on a regular basis as well. Love seeing locally owned businesses supporting the community. Great venue, great food, great owners! ...
