The venue itself is great, very small and intimate, perfect location in downtown Wyandotte for concerts. However, security was awful, in particular, a young lady (blond hair about 5â10 260lbs ) that checks purses outside of the main entrance . My boyfriend, step daughter, her boyfriend and I were there for the Uncle Cracker concert. After getting our purses checked, we received a wristband and got our tickets scanned, we then proceeded to converse with the security team outside about who was on the stage . We were informed by the security, that the headliner had not taken the stage, and probably would not for at least another hour. So to kill time, we decide to have a drink at the bar connected to the venue. Upon returning to the main entrance to District 142 , we were very rudely turned away by the young blond security guard. While being extremely disrespectful , unprofessional, sarcastic , demeaning and condescending , she stated that sheâd informed us that there was no re-entry (while scanning our tickets âŚwhich she did not ) and that weâd ignored her and just walked away! Just completely made up an entire scenario and enlisted other security guards on her team to back her up (although no one did, besides a tall African American guy saying weird things like âsee you just blew it!â Bc the blond girl RAN the door) She was basically telling us, that weâd decided to waste our money on concert tickets, ignored the rules and simply walked away and tried to return and re-enter(though weâd never even stepped a foot inside of the venue!) as if we were a group of wild teens deliberately breaking the rules . After several failed attempts to speak with her, and explain that we had no idea that this was a policy , bc if weâd known, we would have just entered at the time of our tickets being scanned! This power tripping security guard simply REFUSED to let us in and was going to make us waste nearly $200 On a concert that weâd never get a chance to experience . How ridiculous! Thank God, we didnât just give up , but instead, requested to speak with her supervisor. Who was a REAL , and calm human being that actually LISTENED and understood the misunderstanding; she eventually let us in to enjoy the concert. Typically, I do not write reviews, but that security guard with the blond hair was downright insane, very very unprofessional and to be quite honest, a complete liar. It is unfair to treat civil , hard working, law biding Adults this way that are just trying to enjoy a night out. Hopefully, this will be reviewed by the venues owner and sheâs spoken to about her behavior and unacceptable attitude. Being at the point of entry, she will destroy the reputation of this nice venue and turn customers off and away. So please, do not allow her to ruin a good thing that you all have here . Bc she definitely...
Read moreLove the venue, but they have a few RIDICULOUS policies that need to be reconsidered. #1. No re-entry..why..ridiculous! #2. We arrived 1 hour before the concert, my gf wanted to go smokeâŚ.not allowed until after the music started..ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! #3. When in general admission area, it is a constant fight to keep your spot . So when you are done with your drink, what do you do with the can? Obviously you throw it on the floor because thatâs what everyone was doing because if you go to the garbage can you will lose your spot. They should have a worker going around collecting garbage. #4. No waitstaff- same problem, if you go to get a drink, you will lose your spot and have to cram your way back in. #5. Looong lines for drinks with no actual line⌠people were cutting in front of each other constantly- solution: an actual line so that you can be served in a first come first served fashion #5. It says âdoors open @ 7 music @ 8⌠music did not start until 840 need to be more timely. Iâll be back, but I hope they can look into some of these issues in order to improve customer experience. Improve these issues, and youâll be a 5 star venueâŚ...
Read moreWent for the first time to see Sponge night before Thanksgiving. We bought $20 main floor tickets. There were $30 Mezzanine tickets but no guaranteed seats. Nice place, reminds me of Royal Oak Music Theater. Went to bar to order drinks. Selection of liquor very limited. The only vodka brand they had was Smirnoff, which gives me headaches so that was disappointing. My husband wanted shot of Jack.... They don't carry Jack Daniels either, what kind of bar doesn't serve premium liquor? We chose rum and coke and shot of Jameson instead and were charged $10 each which is a total rip off, served up in plastic cups. Signs all over the bar saying once you get your drink, you can't "loiter" at the bar. Given the fact there is absolutely no place to put your drink down, no hi top tables or hi top stools, we were forced to stand the entire 3 hours. Not allowed to go up to mezzanine to get a different view or find a seat to sit down for a few, we're both in our 50's and it would be nice if the owner put a few tables and chairs down by the sound board but off to the side and stocked Tito's, Jack, Stoli, Absolute.... Then I would give this...
