I come in here and admire the art of the pastries every time. Nothing but good things are spoken of La Crème, and it's impossible for passerbys to NOT want to head inside. Becoming a part of the experience by examining what's on display comes naturally for those in the area.
With an attractive storefront and an attractive product, I actually mostly come here for the coffee. The cashiers/baristas are always extremely friendly with a modest touch of personability. As a customer, I offer a challenge every time I walk in: "Please make me something you think would taste good; I am not picky."
I pick up coffee for myself and my significant other, or a friend, from La Crème when I'm trying to spread the joy. It's a good day when I pick up from here, and I always prompt whoever is behind the counter to make something they think is good with a small amount of context. It's fun for me to see what someone would want to make with a spontaneous, yet thoughtful, prompt.
They have never failed. When I end up with two different drinks and ask my friend or girlfriend "Which one would you like?" when I meet up with them, they will frequently pick the coffee that was made with them in mind. It has never failed to satisfy.
Stevie is a charm in particular. She has worked here for a long while and her ability to craft a delicious coffee with little information is what had me coming back initially. It started with her making me something as a gift, and continues with my proud patronage of an establishment that carries a cheery, likeable culture such as...
Read moreOnce again Instagram ads pointed me in the direction of another awesome pastrie shop. Have a big sweet tooth and wanted to try a new place outside of my local area.
Little warning, be prepared to spend a bit of money here. These pastries will cost you a pretty penny ranging from $8 per slice upwards of $11+. But it's worth it as these are very high quality items with a decent portion size to satisfy the average person. Ended up with choosing 6 pieces of different variety from most popular to what caught my taste buds. Paired everything up with a mocha latte. Btw the interior decor here is absolutely stunning. Very clean, elegant, upbeat with no loud music and fair amount of space to sit comfortably.
Employees were friendly, good attitudes, informative whenever asked about ingredients or just general breakdown of each item. So service was top notch. My latte was made pretty quickly tasting quite smooth, not too hot, great quality espresso, good flavoring and well balances. Enjoyed it very much with the pastries.
Overall this is a really high quality place. I've been to many pastry shops and this one takes the cake..no pun intended lol. Looking forward to trying more things off the menu in the near future. If you're in the mood for a unique experience, definitely give this place a shot..will most certainly be...
Read moreLa Creme Patisserie, the long awaited pastry shop located in the former location of Sweet Nothing’s, was well worth the wait. You will not find those atrocious superstore icing custom birthday cakes, these are delicate and expertly crafted desserts that reflect the care, experience, and dedication the owners have put towards opening this beautiful store - and wow is it gorgeous. Walking through the interior and instantly I am no longer downriver but transported to the European bakeries that inspired La Creme. Check the picture, the gorgeous floor, lavish custom ceilings and trim is unlike anything else you’ll find in Wyandotte. I personally had the tiramisu, a raspberry chocolate mousse, and two different cannolis. They were simply divine - although my expectations were no less once I entered. I am very eager to return and sample more of these...
