Casino Caribbean Yakima — Attraction in Yakima

I went there for a noon poker tournament which never gets enough players to start, which was the case today also. So I put my name on the list for the cash game, 1 table full. I then went out and played pull tabs at the bar and won 50.00 so I cashed out. Very nice time so far. I then went out to the pit to play the 2 deck blackjack game and waited for the shoe to finish with two players at the table. I sat down at the table next to it and the dealer told me it was a reserved table and I said ok. Someone else asked how you go about reserving the tbl and the dealer answered him. I was just wasting time at this point waiting for poker but I noticed the players didn’t play a hand for 10 plus minutes so I asked the dealer why? He looked embarrassed and the large player at the tbl yelled over to me, because he didn’t want me watching him. I asked him why he didn’t just say something to me and he aggressively told me I should have taken the hint (I wasn’t paying attention). The dealer called the floor over David C, who asked me to step aside with him to talk and I did. He asked me to leave without talking to the dealer or myself about what happened and told me that he had experience with me before so he didn’t need to know the details but couldn’t explain any details other than I liked to talk too much and something about a sign being put up on the opening day in the poker room. I have played the pit maybe 3 or 4 times with no issues and tipped the dealers well. I’ve played the poker room 4 times with no issues. I’ve played the Carribean in Kirkland 1000+ times poker with no issues. I have talked with Oscar and told him I’m the biggest supporter of the room even with the negatives coming from all players in the underground card games in the valley. Food was decent middle of the road prices wasn't many people not much excitement. The casino should be concerned with YPD harassing there customers. I had just got there and was checking phone messages and smoking before entering, while sitting on my bike minding my business and a Yakima cop pulls into the 76 mini mart notices me on,my bike does a u turn back towards me moving very slow trying to intimidate me he drives straight across the street to am-pm does another u turn and turns his lights off and sits there very obviously watching me for about 15 min until I went to the casino 45 min later I went to check on my bike was still sitting there. At 2am two hrs. later he is still wasting tax payers money!! So went I went back in asked casino security if I could leave my bike and explained the situation I had drank only pop I drink 0 alcohol when on 0 bike I just wasn't in mpood to be harassed (most likely robbed possibly kidnapped) so I left on foot. The guy working security didn't catch his name was very helpful, professional a really nice person. He reassured me no one would be permitted to tow it and he'd watch it as closely as possible. He appeared to be leading a passer by away from it!! Very thankful and 5 star review for him (security) But I tell YPD to quit stocking...

Advice for true black jack gamblers. The game has a lot of nuisance that make it bad, such as the following:

1. Being able to double only hard 9s to 11s.

2. Can’t double after splitting.

3. It’s double deck so it’s hard to build any momentum.

4. A huge one is being locked into the amount of hands you started with. If you play one hand, at no time through out the shoe can you add another hand. So, you can’t even change the rhythm by adding/dropping hands.

5. Makes sense they want the hands to stay the same throughout the shoe because the shuffler is up to no good. It clearly places cards in a particular order just keep a count to yourself of how many times a 6 or below is showing but yet a hand is made by the dealer. It’s actually laughable the desperation this place goes to make sure they win.

All this stated above shows how truly bad of a game black jack is here. The only shot you have is getting lucky with side bets.

In my opinion save it for a bigger casino that’s not so desperate to make a profit and provides a fair game. There are many other options in Washington. Good luck out there.
