Restaurante Uruapan — Restaurant in Yakima

The food was not what I was expecting. I could not tell if it was the beans or cheese that had this horrible taste. The rice was bland. We were the only table there so it wasn't as if they were in a rush and couldn't take their time with the food. The tortillas are not fresh. Horchata was just sugar milk, no rice and barely any cinnamon taste. They charge their drinks as if they're a club, $40 for 2 shots is crazy for a restaurant that has sub par food and okay service. Also the decor was very nice but it's just going to waste with all the food issues, the vibe was off because they had YouTube ads and Spotify ads playing on their tvs. Not your typical Mexican restaurant. Don't use your credit card at this place. I stopped to pick up take out food and didn't get my debit card back. Within 2 hours, I got a notice from my bank saying someone was trying to charge $206.00 at Safeway on Meade. The bank put a hold on card but not before they had charged $356.00 at the same Safeway. I have filed a Police report so that I will be able to view their video. I have stopped by the restaurant twice to speak to the owner and I was told she would call me back. No call back. Service was great, our waitress was attentive and friendly. Quaint atmosphere, we really enjoyed the cantina feel. The food was delicious, for me, but it was a little too spicy for my wife. That's the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. She ate most of it, because it was great, but ooowwww the burn.... just a word of caution if your not use to great spicy food, this place...
