I stop by here a lot as I take the bus, and the Shasta and Alturas Terminal is right behind the location. It features a salsa and bar with delicious tortilla chips, and they have sports on the televisons . The staff is very friendly and hospitable. It's nice and clean, and the food is quick and savory
January 7th, 2025, around 2 p.m. I went in for lunch and wanted something different than my usual. There was a different employee that I hadn't seen before. Maybe he was new, maybe he came from a different location, if they have one. He was not very friendly and treated me like dirt when I was paying because I only had so much cash on me and needed to pay the difference with my card. I did not like his attitude. He lacked hospitality, and he was not muy simpatico. The 2 men that are always there are always nice, and they treat me like a person and not like an insect. I almost don't want to come back after the way that employee was so rude to me. This has been a favorite lunch spot of mine for years, and it hurts me to think of not coming in, just because of this man's behavior towards me. Maybe he was just having a bad day. Maybe I'll never see him again, but I had to speak up and make it known that he had a bad attitude and that's bad for...
Read moreMeh, I was invited to come eat here because the food was very good. You go in and there is a menu on the side you order with the lady at the counter pay then go sit. There is a self service where you can get chips, different types of salsas, red green spicy not so spicy, cucumber with onions on a spicy sauce(not too spicy just ok), nopales(cactus) salad rabanos/radishes, Chile en vinagre jalapenos, this area is good we'll kept and most to the salsas where good. I ordered molcajete it was meh, the taste was not that good and it has a smaller plate on top of the molcajete, they forgot to being me the sides that come with it and when I asked they only brought me little rice and beans. Someone else ordered a fries not sure the name of the meal it has meat guacamole lettuce I think sour cream it was ok. Shrimp tostada was ok not much flavor. Mix cocktail, shrimp and octopus, the shrimp was missing we had to ask for them to added it flavor was not that good. Asada burrito was good per the person eating it. Shrimp burrito was good per the person eating it. Shrimp plate was ok. So most of if was just ok. If we go there again I would try something different and see if I change my mind. For now only...
Read moreWe came in again Sunday before last and got there just in time. The line after we ordered and found a table was soon out the door. I usually get the Super Carnitas Burrito. Wife ordered the Super Carne Asada Tostadas. Although the server initially brought the incorrect tostadas, even as crowded and busy as it was, the order was corrected immediately. And boy, this is some good grub! This place is the most authentic, good quality Mexican food that I have had in Yuba City (or Marysville), my home town. I mean even compared to the eight or so regular walk in places, two of which, I would rate as just awful (see one of my other reviews). In short, I will just say that if you like Mexican food in an informal setting; you walk in place your order, they give you a number to put on your table and then bring your order, then you have to try this place. Oh yeah, free chips and salsa..lots of good salsa! Also, there is a Los Charros in Gridley a few miles north on 99 that is just as good in the strip mall there. It too, is far better imho than the walk in place on the...
