So, i started slowly with this company a few years ago. I had a silverware set that had been passed down after my great grandmother and then my grandmother had passed. I grew up eating on it and i was always taught that it was special to our family. But after my matriarchs's passing, i knew that i did not want to polish silverware for the rest of my life. I asked my mother if she wanted it back, but she declined for the exact same reason why i didnt want it. I did not want to throw it away to some random jeweler who wouldn't appreciate the item. So i came here and met Greg. He was thourough, honest and took all of his time to talk to me about it before he ever made an offer. He did not pressure me to sell it and made sure it was what i wanted before i did it. Greg gave me an extremely fair price (cause i had done my research). I did not regret it and i even kept two spoons to have rings made for both me and my mother. When my paternal grandmother died, i picked out what i wanted and brought the rest to Greg. Again, he gave me fair prices for things i had thought were costume jewelry. Then, i fell on hard times and brought him a 2 ct old european cut diamond solitaire ring in 14kt gold. Greg told me to keep it because even though the insurance appraisal was right, the selling price had to meet the demand but diamonds just arent that valuable right now so it wasnt going to give me the money i needed. Thats honest. He was very sympathetic but he said he did not think i should sell an heirloom to him at that time. He said that he would hold it for $500 but he still did not think that was the right thing to do. I respect him and i know hes not trying to screw anybody over. Greg is a good man, and if he cant help, he will tell you openly and even tell you where to go if you are hell bent on getting something done. I am happy to have my invaluable heirloom because, even though i eventually solved my problem, i may have made a regrettable choice. I give this spot 5 stars because of Greg, his lack of greed, and knowing that i will come see him first before i see anybody else...
Read moreThere are many POSITIVE reviews for Yukon Gold Buyers, and i must add mine as well. I've been collecting for 60+ years, and i can honestly say i learned some things from these folks. Dealing with them on several occasions, i found them to be completely honest and forthright, as well as extremely fair in their offers and pricing. I'm glad i found this place, as i am now a repeat customer, since NOBODY will treat you better than Greg. .............. Just can't say enough good things about Greg and the Yukon Gold Buyers store. I've traded there numerous times, and i leave knowing i was treated fairly and honestly.
Today, i was pleasantly surprised AGAIN, when Greg included an additional $110 on an item i sold to him several weeks ago.(I felt our deal was fair and equitable at the time), but Greg decided he had 'underpaid' me, so he paid me the additional monies. Just another example of the integrity of Greg and his...
Read moreWhat kind of gold buyer says he can't buy my gold bar because he can't verify it's real. Yes it happened. First he said I would get over $800. His machine wouldn't identify my 10g gold bar as gold. He grabbed an alleged gold coin to test and his machine lit up the same. He recommended a buyer with an xray machine on Broadway in Edmond who had quoted me a price earlier in the day at $760. About 10 minutes after I left the store, I called the place on Broadway and he offered me $650. I asked how he could offer $150 less than the other guy and then suddenly remembered I talked to him earlier in the day and he said "I meant $750"! I don't know what the Yukon guy is up to but while eating in Yukon, I asked about his store. They told me they had sent people there only to find the people coming back and complaining about the place. My suspicion may be wrong but that's exactly...
