Brought some merchandise to the counter and said I would still be looking for more, but asked where I could find a restroom. The 2 women were totally into their phones and replied to go to the visitor center. They were rude when I asked how to get there. I left and tried to find it but ended up using a restroom in a nearby restaurant. It turns out the visitor center was a few blocks away. I did not return to buy my items or continue browsing. You would think they would have let me use a restroom in the store - after all I did have 6 items on the counter to purchase. I didn’t consider this to be good...
Read moreThis store does not take debit or credit cards. They instruct you to use the ATM machine inside their store for which you are charged a $3 fee. I told the owner I had never been in a retail store that charged the customer in order to make a purchase. She became snippy and told me that the bank gets the ATM fee not her. I then asked her if the bank pays her for having the machine inside the store. She got upset at my questioning but did admit that she receives a percentage of the $3 ATM fee. ...
Read moreLots of interesting objects - lamps, dishes, figurines, clocks, books, art, and more. Some bring to mind my 70s childhood. The store was hot and cramped, though, and generally didn't feel welcoming. So many "NO" signs at the door, on the register: No cards accepted, No bathrooms, NO refunds or Exchanges. Only take cash or check - with some items costing more than $400.
Was still kind of fun to poke around and look at things, though, despite not buying anything....
