We've loved this park from the 1st visit... Love the shade... be careful on the spinning round play thing in middle of play ground area.... 3 of my children have fallen off of it... its rather dangerous if ask me... but who am i anyway... lol We love the creek area.. by playground... me and my kids love to see nature.. and learn about it.. so we walk the creek.. and find critters.. like these in our pics.. Water Snake... red belly ringed/banded snake... harmless really. . And woodpeckers. ... the last 1 we seen was huge!!! And so beautiful!! And gorgeous emerald green dragonflys.. turtles and crayfish.. no telling what you may find... just be safe and never pick up a animal your not sure of or know about... some NC snakeS can be harmful.... BUT MOST LEFT ALONE ARE HARMLESS!!! no need to harm them or kill them!!

Read moreI absolutely love bringing my children to this park. I’ve got three that really enjoy this park a 2, a 4 and a 7 year old. The biggest reason I like this park. Even in the peak of heat during the summer. There are plenty of shaded areas to rest and monitor the children, I’m not a big fan of sitting in direct sunlight for long periods of time. Usually we go get some ice cream then take the kids to this park and let them run out all of that energy. For anywhere from 2 to 3 hours. They do have restroom facilities, a water fountain, a disc golf course, small scenic trails, couple of baseball fields and a basketball court. Read moreThis is a very calming and natural park with great semi shaded walking paths and disc golf. Lots of benches for resting and enjoying all the beautiful sounds of nature along the paths. Most of the paths are paved for ADA friendliness and stroller friendliness. Everyone who had dogs had them on leashes. There is plenty of parking in different lots available. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the restrooms, the little free library and working water fountains. The walking paths have an easy to read map for distances of .4, .5, and 1 Mille. Even though there was not much water today, there was still a lovely sound of water from the little stream flowing over the rocks at the footbridge by the playground that you can hear...
