I am a regular weekly customer with frequent shopper card. I have a $10. loyalty card credit for spending a lot. I wanted to make a purchase of approx 200 pieces of costume jewelry. The cashier was counting the jewelry while I was getting my cards out. She totaled it and said she did not know how to ring in the $10. credit. So she called "Jenny" . When Jenny came to the register she said in a very stern tone. I cant use my card because I did not show it before. I explained to her I did not know. She said very nasty "there is a sign on the counter". I said" I did not see it?" Then she moved some newspapers that was on top of "a sign", She was very nasty at that point. Saying " you can use your card next time." I did not say anything. The cashier offered to re-ring the purchase. But, Jenny was still being nasty ranting and raving about the situation . So, I said forget it. I walked out with my son. She was nasty to me in front of my son and many other customers. The customers were also upset she was treating me that way. I came back to the store to get her name and the corporate phone number.. Jenny would not show her face when the cashier asked her to come. The cashier gave me an incorrect number and only told me that ladies name was Jenny... I told her "I am a regular customer and they have lost my business" I do not deserve to be treated like garbage. I am a person with disabling effects from a recent stroke. I believe she was nasty to me because my disability.. I called the corporate office and am still waiting on a call back. Unless she is fired for the way she treated me. I will never step foot into or give donation to...
Read moreThe first and last time I'll probably visit this location as I've been to others and liked them. While it's a big space, it didn't feel like there was a lot to look at. The stuff they did have were nice, though. Very beautiful furniture and chandeliers. The clothes was the best quality I've seen from thrift stores. I didn't see any fitting rooms sadly, but several mirrors dotted around the shop. However, this place is very pricey. I was lucky to find anything under $10 while I found plenty over $60+. The most confusing part on my trip was that I found the movie section and a sign that said "DVDs and Blu-rays $1". I grabbed 3 movies. I got to the register and the ladies are telling me that it's BOGO Free and I could grab either a $1 movie or a $2 movie (one of mine was marked $2, but I thought it was leftover from wherever it was donated from). I said their sign said $1 and they told me that meant per DISC, not per movie... One of the movies I chose had a bonus disc which made it $2... So... are they selling it per movie or per disc? The sign clarifies neither. $2 was still a good deal for the movie, but I don't love the complications. Please adjust your signage to...
Read moreI had a deeply upsetting experience at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore involving an employee named Linda. I had just purchased a headboard that didn’t fit in my vehicle, and one of the staff members was kindly helping me disassemble it. Out of nowhere, Linda came over and said, “You know we’re not giving you a refund for this, right?”—even though I never asked for a refund. I felt completely disrespected and singled out.
When I calmly told her that I hadn’t mentioned anything about a refund and asked why she said that, she became rude and dismissive. Then she instructed the employee helping me to stop assisting me altogether. She continued to insert herself into the situation uninvited and was condescending and unprofessional throughout.
As a paying customer, I expected to be treated with basic respect. Instead, I was met with hostility and what felt like discriminatory treatment. Linda’s behavior reflects poorly on the values I thought Habitat for Humanity stood for. I hope this is addressed seriously, because no one deserves to be...
