I would not buy anything from Ace Hardware again. The owner Jim owns the Zephyrhills and Dade City locations. This guy is rude and attempted to intimate me by violating my personal space. What a joke, old man! Lol Yikes. He was desperate to avoid giving me a refund. It was a Milwaukee M18 personal fan. I opened it up to test it out and decided I wanted to buy the bigger version. I had the receipt but he said because the box was opened and missing the pamphlet, they would not return it. I ordered online and set it for pickup in store. Online it said there was a 30 day return policy. Come to find out in the fine print, the policy only applies if the box is unopened. I tried to reason with him but he was very rude and stood right up on me and told me I was stuck with the item. When I called Ace Hardwareâs corporate number they said there was nothing they could do about it because it was a franchise location. Itâs a shame that a company as big as Ace Hardware refuses to keep up with the industry standard of return policies and customer service for their consumers or hold their franchise owners accountable to represent their company with professionalism. I have never had this kind of issue with returning an item or with customer service at any of their competitors such as Home Depot or Lowes. Save yourself the hassle and donât go to...
Read moreAfter being frustrated by Lack of knowledge at a big box store, I turned to my hometown Ace hardware. Larry went above and beyond to help me sort out an unconventional DIY project that I was working on to get the heat going in my home before the deep freeze came last weekend. Not only did he take me seriously but he had a great sense of humor about it as well! Andrew assisted him and was also very nice. When I came back about a week later to return a few small parts that I ended up not needing the gentleman who issued my refund was super professional and very kind. While I was there he took a phone call and he was equally kind to the person on the other end and it turns out she was calling because she wanted to send a thank you gift to one of the employees there who had been so nice during delivering an appliance to her house. So in other words it wasn't just me, this is a great location they have great staff. Being in the market for a job myself, I did ask for an application but realized looking around that they were well staffed and probably didn't need me! Lol in any case I will always go there first from now on! Also I will mention, because I had to ask as there was no signage yet, but they have recently started refilling...
Read moreI bought a small head flash light. And 2 small packs of candles during the week of the hurricane. A day later I went to Hobby Lobby and found bigger candle for half the Aceâs price. The next day, my husband came home with a bigger better flashlight. So I ended up NOT OPENING the items. A week later with my ORIGINAL RECEIPT, I return to the store for a refund. I was TOLD that because I bought these (mind you imperishable items) during the week of the HURRICANE. They WERE NOT RETURNABLE. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS!!! No ifs or Butts !! The owners policy!! I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH THING!! Thatâs $40!! Down the drain!! I sure did need the money for gas. Please do NOT BUY ANYTHING AT AN ACES STORE BEFORE LOOKING FOR CHEAPER PRICES ELSEWHERE!! I WILL NEVER GO INTO ANY ACE STORE AGAIN!! Debra was the cashier for both transaction! A few minutes later- I was sharing this to a Big Lots employee.( me venting to anyone and everyone who would hear me) she Said they took so many candles back, as long as they had their receipt 𧞠. PS: I also bought a bag of DOTS , and they...
