Endless stands of trinkets. Extremely friendly people. It is a wonderful way of connecting with Orientals (Uruguayans) around their city. I was there for 40 minutes and managed to find everything I needed to settle in, a place that did currency exchange, a universal power bar to plug my computer (they call it 'zapatilla' here, long sheets of paper and a rubber ball for a workshop I was attending, and a Sim card. It is absolutely enormous and there are so many trinkets to find. If you’re into fashion, there are so many vintage and second hand clothes to buy too. There is also a wide variety of food (chivito stalls, fresh produce, fruit and vegetables, cheese, brownies, etc).
