Talipach Gate — Attraction in Bukhara City

You should go, but you should know what you are going to see. This is not some polished artifact or reconstructed site. As it has little religious significance it received much less care and attention over the centuries, which is true of anywhere in the world, and is now only a shell of its former might. But to illustrate the scale of the old city when judged by its distance from ‘the ark’, and its imposing height, and the juxtaposition of this ancient wall and gate against the bustling market next door or the serene park you will have walked through to get here, makes it a walk worth taking and a site worth seeing.
