Landed here in July 2022 for a 6 nights trip. Arrivals was smooth with a fairly quick and efficient immigration process. No smiles from my immigration officer though but that’s OK! First impression for the arrival hall was that there are surprisingly no food places around. After baggage belt you are led to the exit, where there are several sim card shops and that’s it. All the cafes are in the departure hall. There are 2 people to beware of upon exit: 1. The cut throat airport taxi guy that quotes you 3 times the fare! The rate to our hotel in Danang on Grab was 82k dong but he quoted us 300k. After rejecting his “offer”, we walked to the Grab car parking lot to wait for our Grab. 2. The bunch of men standing at the Grab parking lot. One tricked me and told me he was my driver when I tried to show him my booking. He asked for my phone and what I didn’t realize at that moment (to which I later recollected and figured out that was what he was doing), was he cancelled my legitimate booking on Grab as we were walking to his vehicle! Luckily we memorized our Grab car plate number and noticed it was a different car from his once we arrived. We immediately told him no and walked away with our bags, while he kept telling us “same same car same!”. What a scare! We immediately called a new Grab and waited for the right car to arrive before entering it. Lesson to be learned - do not let go of your phone and some people are desperate to earn a living in these hard times. Apart from the crazy transportation moments, this airport is great 😊

Da Nang Airport is a shining example of efficiency and friendliness. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the positive atmosphere and the dedication of the staff to provide a smooth and pleasant experience for all travelers. The airport is well-organized and clean, with clear signage and helpful staff members available to assist you with any questions or concerns. The security and immigration processes are handled with ease, allowing for a quick and hassle-free transition through the airport. The waiting areas are comfortable and offer a variety of amenities to keep passengers entertained and relaxed while waiting for their flights. What truly sets Da Nang Airport apart, however, is the friendliness of the staff. From check-in counters to security checkpoints to boarding gates, everyone you encounter is genuinely welcoming and eager to make your journey as seamless as possible. The personal touch and positive attitude of the staff make a lasting impression and create a welcoming and stress-free environment for travelers. Overall, Da Nang Airport is a top-notch facility that excels in both efficiency and friendliness. Whether you are arriving, departing, or simply passing through, you can expect a wonderful experience that sets the standard for airport travel. It's no wonder why Da Nang Airport has earned a reputation as one of the best airports in the region.

Da Nang International Airport (DAD), Vietnam’s third-largest airport, offers a modern and efficient travel experience, particularly in its international Terminal 2, which has earned a 5-star rating from Skytrax. Passengers frequently commend the airport’s cleanliness, straightforward navigation, and courteous staff. Security and immigration processes are generally swift, with some travelers noting expedited procedures during transit. Terminal 2 stands out for its contemporary design and amenities, including the Orchid CIP Lounge, which features modern seating, showers, and complimentary Wi-Fi. However, some visitors have pointed out that food and beverage prices are relatively high, and there have been occasional issues with Wi-Fi connectivity in certain areas. Terminal 1, serving domestic flights, is functional but less impressive, with limited seating options and less effective air conditioning. The airport’s proximity to downtown Da Nang is convenient, though public transportation options are limited, making taxis and rideshares the primary means of transit. Overall, Da Nang International Airport provides a pleasant and efficient experience, especially for international travelers, and continues to enhance its services to meet global standards.

Da Nang International Airport is a modern, well-maintained airport that serves as a gateway to central Vietnam. While it’s not the largest airport, it’s efficient and well organized, making travel smooth and hassle-free. The facilities are clean and modern, with well-built washrooms featuring granite countertops and new toilets a small but appreciated touch that sets it apart from some other regional airports. Security is quick and efficient, especially for domestic flights, where you’re allowed to bring up to four liters of water, which is a nice convenience compared to stricter airports elsewhere. There are plenty of food and souvenir shopping options. If you need a last-minute gift or snack, there are local shops selling Vietnamese coffee, dried fruit, and souvenirs. You’ll also find plenty of coffee shops to get your caffeine fix, offering strong Vietnamese cà phê sữa đá. If you’re craving something familiar, there’s even a Burger King. Seating areas are comfortable, and the airport offers a smooth check-in and boarding process. Overall, it’s a good, functional airport—not huge, but clean, efficient, and easy to navigate. Whether you’re arriving or departing, it provides an stress-free travel experience.

Recently had an unpleasant experience at Da Nang Airport. After passing through customs, I needed hot water to prepare milk for my infant, but none was available at the boarding gate. Despite being required to discard all liquids, including hot water in my tumbler, before customs, the airport failed to provide any alternative for travelers with urgent needs, such as feeding a baby or assisting elderly passengers. While normal drinking water was available, the absence of access to hot or warm water was deeply disappointing. To make matters worse, I approached several coffee shops in the terminal requesting a small amount of hot water but was coldly rejected. This lack of basic assistance shows a concerning lack of empathy toward travelers with special or urgent needs. Airports are meant to cater to a diverse range of passengers, including families with infants or those with specific requirements. Adding hot water dispensers at boarding gates or ensuring that vendors are willing to assist in such cases would significantly enhance the travel experience. I urge the management to address this issue promptly to create a more accommodating and considerate environment for all passengers.
