We live in the Lancaster for 18 months.||||People and facilities are nice.||||The "only" problem is the noise, as the sound isolation is terrible and it's the only tower in the vicinity. Every sound is amplified, especially at night. ||||- every night = various loud noises (cranes, trucks, industrial drillers and so on) from the three construction sites next to the building.||- every morning from 5.30 to 6.30 am = aerobic club at 120 db on the bank of the lake, with a sound system facing directly the building.||- every morning from 6.45 to 7.30 am, 8.30 to 10.30 am = speakers from the two local schools immediatly next to the building, with broadcast of pre-recorded messages (extremely loud, extremly agressive...)||- From 8.30 am to 8.30 pm = various maintenance and works in appartements inside the tower (as a large part is serviced with permanent residents), almost on daily basis. ||||And this including every week-end (saturday AND sunday) and most holydays (with the exception of the têt).||||After countless complaints for months, the only solution provided both by service and sale departements was to seal the windows in all the bedrooms. Despite that, not really recommended. It was an unpleasant experience.
Staff in the day were alright, but the counter guy at night was extremely unfriendly and dismissive. He refused to help when I left my card upstairs and needed help with security card access at the lift. Later on, apparently another visiting tourist had the same experience.
The staff at night kept insisting there was nothing he could do. Until someone else intervened. And then magically he had a card for the lift.

Read moreAbsolutely is a wonderful place to stay and explore Hanoi. Friends along with us shared a 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom recently. Everything was excellent. One can eat in the building, shop in a market and enjoy a Vietnamese coffee without leaving the structure. The large suite was perfect, clean and well maintained. 24 hour security assures safety and the staff at the front desk are very helpful.
