La Batisse Hotel — Hotel in Hà Nội

The hotel is located in a narrow dark alley off a large noisy main street with only women clothes shops and other small shops selling street food or electronic. The hotel hs no restaurant therefore if you are hungry you need to walk miles or take a taxi to look for restaurants. The rooms are very large but filthy, there was a hard dark sofa with dubious stains, a large TV with only 3 english channels, I found black long hairs in my bed. There is a kitchen, half of the cupboards are broken, dirty. The staff at reception do not speak english so every time they have to call a number so you can speak to a mysterious man who translates. They can't even process your credit crd properly (I was charged twice and took me an hour to have the situation cleared). Nightmare experience, I have no clues where they get their ratings in other websites from. Avoid this property, there are so many small hotels in Hanoi in better locations and at ...

The room is so clean and everyone is so friendly and helpful.

I extended my booking several times and stayed a long time. On the first day, I arrived at Hanoi International Airport late night, and it took some time to find a pickup service driver there, but the hotel manager waited for me to check in until midnight. And the last night, the hotel was full, so I had to look for another hotel, and then the hotel manager realized it faster than I did. And he booked me into the nearest hotel.

Their staff was really accommodating and helpful. He lent us an extension cord when we needed it. He even assisted us in communicating to the Grab Food driver. We also love their bath tub with hot shower, it was such a bliss. Their duvet, bed mattress and pillows were so comfortable and clean. They also offer free water from the dispenser which can be seen at the ground floor.

The only thing which I didn't like was the slow wifi connection. Also, there was no rug on the floor which we need to dry our feet on after taking a bath. They had some bottles of water in the mini fridge and one of the bottles has been opened and refilled...
