This was a fun experience and something that I made a tradition for family to go see. It’s a nice little evening out during the holidays to put you in the Christmas spirit. The only problem we had was a lot of traffic trying to get over to a Starbucks afterwards. I also found the cars to run a little too close to each other during the event. Someone rear-ended me driving through the light show. The car behind me was following too closely and he didn’t realize I was there for some reason he got distracted when he went over a speed bump thing during the drive-through event. We just got out and talked for a minute and went on our way driving through the park . There was no need to exchange any information it was the holidays and there did not readily appear to be any damage to either of our cars. I later discovered the driver knocked my rear tailgate bumper a little bit loose. In the spirit of the holidays we just wished each other a merry Christmas and he promised he would not follow people so close. It was his first time at the event and I think he was distracted. Other than that, everyone had a good time. The light show in the music was awesome. We all normally get hot chocolate when they have it available. A little whip whipped cream on the hot chocolate would have been nice but they did not offer that! My teenagers had a really good time with their school friends and I plan on going again next year We really liked the Candy Cane Lane. The music, the lights and the festivities are all perfect to get you in the holiday spirit! I order matching Christmas pajamas for my girls and myself and we wear them in the car to the event and then go for Starbucks or ice cream and we take pictures and check out the lights at...
Read moreUnfortunately it has come to this. I bought tickets for the 6:00 pm show on December 3 in Glendale, AZ. I like many others arrived a few minutes early and got in the line queue. By 6:30 pm there was no movement in the line and many patrons were starting to get impatient and started to honk their horns. By 6:45 pm there was still no line movement, more impatience, and no information from World of Illumination about the issue. By 7:00 pm the line started to move. When it was my turn at the gate, the staff informed me that there was an issue with the show and offered a refund. The staff scanned my QR code and I left. At this time, ten days have passed, no refund, and World of Illumination customer support has not responded to my refund inquiries. It appears that if there are no issues with the show then everyone that goes is happy but if there is an issue with the show that is on the World of Illumination end then they ghost you when a deserved refund is pending. I've been going to these events every year since their inception but after this experience no more. If you have no issues at a show then I'm happy for you but keep in mind that if there is a technical issue on the World of Illumination side, you'll likely not get your money back. I'm filling a BBB complaint for all the...
Read moreThis was the absolute worst experience I have ever had.
After arriving half an hour early for our "scheduled time" we were met with severe anxiety driven traffic and the negligent police who did nothing to help.
Then we ended up in the longest car conga line I have ever seen. Until we were forced in to two separate lines again. Great job guys for showing what the word redundant means!!!! One for ticket holders and the other line for non ticket holders.
I thought to myself, we had run the course and that this nightmare was going to be over. NOPE!
Instead the non ticket holders actually moved faster then the ticket holders. I feel this needs to be mentioned again we have a "scheduled time" that had long been forgotten. So not sure what my tickets were actually needed for.
Finally, after seeing the show I was not even impressed. There are plenty of shows where you can do the same thing for free. You can even do a few rounds around the block if you wanted to, or have hot chocolate in a thermos instead of paying obscene prices.
Don't waste your money on this! Do some research and save yourself the time, money, and stress of this...
