Wow! I'm so glad we tried Nineteen 86. I read great reviews and wanted to try it. Based on the reviews I had high expectations, and they were still exceeded.

My wife and I had dinner last night for our 38th wedding anniversary. Reservations using Open Table was smooth and quick. It's part of Diamond Desert Casino, so we parked and walked through the casino and followed the signs. We don't gamble and we're amazed at all the folks at the slot machines. It was a happening place!

The atmosphere and furnishings are impressive. We arrived early to have a drink at the bar, and it is a very nice bar with great help and generous drinks. Very professional hostess brought us to our table. Water was poured for us, and a bread basket brought to our table for us to make a selection from their many options.

Our server was Alejandro and he was exceptional. He took our drink orders (Old Fashioned and a Moscow Mule). We split a Heirloom Tomato and Mozzarella Salad as an appetizer. She ordered a Filet with a loaded baked potato, I ordered a filet, mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. The steak comes on a plate by itself and the sides are delivered family style with enough to each be shared by 2-3 people. We ended bringing home the entire baked potato and half the mushrooms. Midway through the meal we renewed our cocktails.

Alejandro informed us that management would like to offer a dessert to us for our anniversary celebration. We chose the Chocolate Decadence, a layered cake, ganache, served with vanilla ice cream and warm chocolate sauce. We ate the ice cream and brought the cake home.

We've dined at Ruth's Chris, Morton's, Fleming's, Durant's and other wonderful steakhouses, and we both feel this is on par with the best we've had. The appetizer, filets, side dishes and dessert were all so delicious, we wouldn't have changed a thing. Next time maybe we will show some restraint on the side dishes. The drinks were also perfect, and was Alejandro's service.

It was a remarkable dinner and combined with the ambiance and service created a wonderful experience...

My husband and I visited Arizona from out of town and decided to have a nice dinner somewhere. This restaurant wasn't too far from where we stayed, so we decided to try it. I didn't pay attention to the fact that it is in a casino and was upset with myself when I arrived because I can't handle cigarette smoke. But it's a non-smoking casino! So I was very happy to find that out.

The restaurant was very easy to find and we were sat immediately. Our waiter was Ken LeBlanc, and he was FANTASTIC!! A great waiter!

We ordered the Sunday special, which was steak, yorkshire pudding, veggies, and mashed potatoes. The meat was so very well cooked and very juicy! But...it was also salty. 😕 We are not steak connoisseurs, so we didn't realize that the cut of steak we ordered was very fatty. We've learned our lesson for the next time. We also had the French onion soup that was wonderful, and the crab cake appetizer was just OK.

I then ordered two apple berry cobblers to-go for a friend and myself because it sounded delish. When we ate them, we both got stomach aches and had difficulty sleeping that night. I am appalled that we got sick from dessert from such a nice restaurant! I had to throw the rest away (along with money spent).

Lastly, as we were sitting there, we could overhear the loud talking and laughing of the employees in the kitchen area. One of the other diners yelled something, including cuss words at them, and I agreed, because it's a nice restaurant where people go for a nice, QUIET dinner, not some social club! One of the waitresses came around and apologized for their behavior and informed us that they were told to keep it down.

My husband was most unhappy with his experience, so I doubt we'll go back, but it was a good experience at...

On the evening of Wednesday 4/26, my family of 5 went to our reserved dinner plans at Ninteen86 Steak House. While I would love to base this rating on the food, I cannot because we never received our meals. We sat and after 2 hours, ultimately made the decision to leave. What lead to this decision, allow me to explain. We sat and started off fantastic as Amy set us up with drinks and gave a full rundown of the menu, she was great and this review should not represent her. Amy let us know our order was following a large group, but as soon as we saw the big order come out of the kitchen ours would be right behind it. That was not the case, roughly 6 carts of food went out, and none were ours. Eventually at about hour 2 the manager Laura came over and gave the most insincere “apology for the wait” and left our table. We made the table decision that whatever was happening behind those kitchen doors would not be up to the expectations that we had nor the quality we deserved at this point so we left. It was now nearly 9:30 PM and had to find somewhere else to celebrate my father’s birthday dinner. I reached out to Laura to share our experience concerns and hoped to hear what had happened with an offer to make it up to us. She replied with a canned, underwhelming email and Joaquin shared the same subpar care for our experience. There are many many other steakhouses in the area that deserve your hard-earned money and time. Avoid this establishment at all costs, if they cannot perform on a Wednesday night I would hate to see what happens on a busy weekend. They don’t care for their guests, you should not care to dine with them. Do better...

Go there quite often. Nice décor and atmosphere. From the beginning a friendly hostess. Excellent Food and, for the most part excellent service with the one exception - when being served at the bar area by the female bartender (Edwina(?)). Ignores customers, rude and just looks miserable when serving customers. We are always polite BUT Sunday's service was inexcusable. Ignored us when we were the only ones there. Walked away when being asked a question, telling us another couple came in and needs her services (even the manager noticed and came over to assist and answer questions). When my wife asked her (nicely as my wife has always done sales and PR and is amazing with people) why is she always so short and rude with us, her response was "this is a fast and busy restaurant and I have no time because of "others" to take care of". Hmm, a high end steak house that is too busy to take care of customers - never heard of that before. I always believed that that is an atmosphere that belongs in a fast food restaurant not in a high end restaurants. Needless to say, a ruined dining experience. And to be clear, there was only one other couple in the whole bar area. We did ask for and spoke to the manager who listened and acknowledged the problem. She did ask to make it up for the ruined experience but, we were already on the way out and frankly, we did not want to stay there any longer, and for the record, this is a one bartender issue and not the overall dining experience in this restaurant. Still, many times we actually avoid going and dining there when we see that this bartender is going to be our server. Don't need the attitude.

Please do not get your food to go every time we get takeout we have to return to the restaurant for them to make it right we ordered five fillet lobster dinners medium when I got them home they were all charged of course I'll call back and the manager made them right she had them to re-cook them which is great but that should never happen this is a five-star restaurant we're talking about we should not have been served Burnt steak and lobster tails. Of course I was furious that I had to go back but the food wasn't even edible... We try take out a second time this time it was on prime rib Sunday we ordered five for everyone in the family should've been medium however we had two that were medium well OK that was OK we had three ends they were all well done they were awful but I saw one kind of fixed it up cut it so my mom can eat it and that was fine so that but when I opened up the other two boxes and I noticed that we had three ends a prime rib only comes with two ends I called them back of course they were out of prime rib and if they were out of prime rib they should've told me I could've got something different opposed to those big hunks of veiny meat at the end that were well done could've gotten something else the manager did the offer a Replacement meal when I went back and get it they were good they were cooked to perfection never did list that should not be I should not have to check my food before I leave this is a five-star restaurant again we're talking about everything should be perfect when I get home I should not find these three these three big hunks of when we've ordered medium

Nineteen 86 Steakhouse was excellent. The service was impeccable and the wood was superb. I ordered the special which was a Japanese sea bass on a crusted crab rizzoto, which ate almost like a soft crab cake. It was easily the best seafood I've had in Arizona and I would certainly order it again. I also ordered the smoked manhattan which I cannot recommend enough. I don't love manhattans, but it was a signature menu item so I wanted to give it a try. Mine was smoked on a cherry wood which gave it a very smoky and slightly fruity flavor that complemented it very well. Not being a huge manhattan drinker, I would continue to order this in the future and recommend it to anyone who can tolerate whiskey. The service was amazing here as well and left nothing more to be desired. We were extremely well taken care of and the entire staff was friendly and inviting. My only complaint was that the atmosphere was not quite on par with similar restaurants. The casino itself is very nice as a whole, but having to walk through the games to get to the restaurant with no other access is unique, and once inside, the room and decor feels a little bit like a well decorated banquet hall. It's done well, but you don't escape the feeling that you're at a fancy wedding. This is certainly not a deal-breaker, but for a high end restaurant, the ambiance could be slightly improved. Overall, Nineteen 86 had excellent food and great service and I will definitely stop again in the future.
