Read moreThe park has 'good bones' as they say. Excellent location, enough space as to almost never be too crowded, a couple of good venues and historical significance to the city. Unfortunately, potential is not enough to make it great. It requires maintenance on such a scale it would be better to just call it refurbishing. Pillars are crumbling, benches need replacing, lighting is lacking, metal fixtures continue to rust away, the bathrooms need help, accessibility needs to be looked at and so much more.
