I'd give the hostel 3 stars if not for many of the guests. I don't know what they had in common, but they were the most inconsiderate bunch I've ever encountered. I stayed long enough for two sets of people to cycle through my dorm, but no matter who, everybody insisted on lights out and windows shuttered all day. Come 2:00 am it was lights on and yak yak yak until the sun came up (and the blinds were drawn again).||||Aside from that, the place was OK. The location can't be beat- a block off the main drag, but still a relatively quiet street. The staff are friendly and did whatever they could to help you out. ||||The building itself is old but has lots of character. There is a discrete smoking area and a small patio out back. The hostel is right above a small supermarket, and there are many budget eats nearby. The bathrooms vary in quality. Some are pretty good, some not so good. But I almost never had to wait for one of the better ones, and the showers never ran out of hot water. Also, the cleaners keep them as clean as they can get. The kitchen could use an update, but at least it's there and it functions. Note that the hostel does not offer breakfast- they don't claim to, but some 3rd party booking sites say otherwise. Some dorms have balconies, some open to the hallways. I believe you can choose when you book. The wifi worked most everywhere.||||All in all, it wasn't the worst place I've stayed, and it's likely the most centrally located hostel in the world. If you really value location and don't require anything too flashy, This may be the...
Read moreAs many guests have stated, the actual prices once you arrive at the hostel are more than twice the price indicated on booking. The staff justifies this by saying that they use the "dollar blue" exchange rate, but this is the first time in 2 months of travelling through Argentina that I have had this problem regarding price discrepancies. It's less a question of actual price (although the price for a bed in a shared dorm is very expensive, more than I paid anywhere else), and more about the false advertising and dishonesty. The staff working the night that I arrived told me that nobody was forcing me to stay, I could leave if I wanted to. Otherwise, the kitchen is tiny and poorly equipped for cooking and the bathrooms are not clean. The beds were fine though, although the plugs...
Read moreI was staying in a hostel alone in a private room with shared bathroom for a few days. I felt very safe and comfortable. The staff are always smiling and very nice, there are many toilets and showers in the hostel and they are always clean. The location of the hostel is excellent!||When a friend joined me, we stayed for a few more days in the hostel in the suite. The room is very large with a spacious balcony.||Oren and Chen are amazing- helped us in everything, made sure we were comfortable, gave answers to many questions, helped us plan the rest of the trip and all this with a lot of caring and good intentions. ||I would definitely return to the hostel...
