🍽️ FOOD • Dishes ordered: We ordered a Creole empanada and a Súper Nápoles pizza topped with sliced tomato, onion, mozzarella, longaniza sausage, and black olives. • Quality: The pizza was tasty and loaded with ingredients. However, the empanada was a critical failure—it was ice cold inside, not merely cool. • Weak points: Serving an ice-cold empanada is an unacceptable failure in food preparation. 🍷 DRINKS • Selection: We enjoyed a Quilmes 1980 beer. 💁 SERVICE • Attention: The main waiter was notably absent ("shone by his absence"). We ended up communicating primarily with the runner (busser/expediter). 🌿 AMBIENCE • Decoración: The place is large and has an animated, lively atmosphere, but the tables and chairs are old and worn. 🛎️ EXTRAS • Payment: A major inconvenience: credit card payments are not accepted.
💡 FINAL VERDICT • ✔ Strong points: The tasty pizza and the lively atmosphere typical of Corrientes Avenue. • ❌ What to improve: The inexcusable temperature of the empanada, the main waiter's absence, and the cash-only...
Read moreWhat a great place for authentic Argentinian pizza! We are Napoli-style pizza snobs, so this is a way different type of pie for sure. I think for some people it may remind them of deep dish although the crust is different. Anyhoo, it's a substantial and delicious pizza, gooey and yummy. They offer portions (piece), a small pie (4 slices and filled two of us up) and a large (8 slices) and you can order half & half which I thought was awesome. This place has a cool, almost diner-like vibe with very friendly servers, a great selection of pizza and empanadas and is a very good...
Read moreQuintessential Buenos Aires pizza that’s been around forever. Don’t go in expecting Italian, New York or Chicago style pizza, or anything you’ve tried before somewhere else. The porteño style is generally thicker (but soft, moist dough) crust with loads of mozzarella on top, with varying toppings. You can order a large or small pizza to share, and they’ll do half and half toppings if you want to try two kinds without doubling your order. You can also order by the slice so you can try even more toppings. Service can be slow during rush hour. You can order by the slice and eat standing up near the front of the pizzeria, or walk to the back of the restaurant (it goes way deep) for...
