During the whole month that I stayed here there wasn't one time were the connection was stable, the Wi-Fi doesn't work and the owners couldn't care less, and I say this judging by the fact that there's a review from two years ago that addresses this issue and they still haven't fixed it, I expressed my concerns about the Wi-Fi situation to the receptionist lady and she told me to just get closer to the apartment door and try to reconnect to the Wi-Fi.. Needless to say that the managers are completely clueless about how to solve this problem and don't have the intention to pay to someone that does, if you depend on any capacity on a stable Internet connection I advise you go somewhere else

Awful hotel experience from start to finish. ||We arrived late at night and were given a room on the first floor which was really unsuitable for a four star property. There were two big black mould stains on the bathroom ceiling and the room was full of drain flies as a consequence. To add insult to injury, there was chewing gum stuck to the bathroom floor, stains on the sheets and, incredibly, bogeys stuck to the bedroom wall. ||We went to reception to ask for a room change, but were met with absolute disinterest on the night receptionist's behalf and were told they were full. An hour later he called us in our room and offered to move us to a room on the third floor, which we did. ||The following morning we had a shower only to discover that the shower was broken and only piping hot water came out of the shower head - VERY hot water. Water too hot to shower with. We informed the receptionist who told us he would send the maintenance guys up during the day to fix it. ||When we got back to the hotel in the afternoon, we saw that nothing had been done and the shower was exactly as we'd left it. ||We went back to reception to explain the problem, but by that time, the maintenance team had gone home. The (this time very nice) receptionist came up to the room to check the problem for herself, and agreed it was not possible to shower there. She offered us yet another room change. ||The new room was ok, but even without the mould, chewing gum, bogeys and faulty shower, the aircon remote wouldn’t work, and neither would the TV. ||The following day we decided to cut our stay at this hotel short and checked out with two outstanding nights to our booking. ||Also, breakfast was...

Compared to its immediate surroundings -- some beautiful buildings and some as decrepit as those you'd see in Old Havana -- the Monserrat Hotel looks modern, though it doesn't appear to be aging well. For instance, torn sheets on our king-size bed were never changed the whole time we were there (5 nights).||||Within minutes of entering our hotel room we encountered a baby cockroach. This one was just the first of a series, which became a daily occurrence. Most weren't babies! The moldy in-room fridge appeared to be their favourite hiding place.||||When checking out we showed the person in reception a squashed "mother" cockroach, which we had kept wrapped in a napkin since the day after we arrived. Housekeeping hadn't noticed! Basically the clerk's reaction -- Yeah, it's a bug. So what? -- wasn't what it would've been at a more expensive hotel.||||Each morning we ate a simple buffet breakfast in the hotel lobby, included in our room rate. After breakfast we'd hit the streets. Walking around the Monserrat neighbourhood felt a lot like being in a Spanish version of a grubby New York City.||||Several blocks of once-beautiful black-and-white-tiled sidewalks were cracked and crumbling. Dog poop posed another hazard, so you had to be careful where you stepped to avoid...

Particularly bad hotel .my cash was stolen by the staff there. His staff stole half of my cash in an envelope in my bag . We stayed at Monserrat Apart Hotel from March 3rd to 5th. $480 cash were missing from my luggage. I had $820 dollar cash in $20 bills in an envelope in my bag, $480 were missing when I checked before checking out the hotel. We did not put the money in the safety box, they were in my bag in the hotel room the entire time. However, we did not expect thief inside the hotel. I noticed on March 5th that someone moved my purse and bag, so the money was probably taken on March 4th. the manager just keep said impossibility without listening to me. He didn't even investigate, he didn't ask the staff, he didn't check the cameras . He said it was your fault that you didn't leave your valuables in the safe box and even if you were staying at our hotel it was your fault . It's your fault if you lose something . We are not responsible for anything. Their attitude is really irritating we’ve filed a police report. I hope the police will solve the case soon, it's ok the money was lost, we just want to tell the manager that there is a problem with your staff so that future guests staying here ,their valuable items is not safe here but they...
