Copiando e colando a avaliação que fiz direto para o hotel||1 - Bad/low cleanliness of room carpet (stains), bathtub, bathtub curtain (with mold). ||2 - Refurbishment of door handles - my room door (104) was broken. ||3 - Improve capacity of serving meals: I tried in 3 different days order either lunch and dinner and the reception told me they couldn´t take the order. The first two times were because there was 10-15min left to close the restaurant and they could not take orders anymore, and the 3rd because It was 7pm but since there was only one person in the kitchen they could not make a meal for me because there were too many guests. Well, I recommend that you fix the time you say the restaurant is open because no order can be taken in last 30min, plus hire additional staff to provide food service. ||4 - Booking confirmation: I did not receive a booking confirmation from the hotel, so I had to proactively request via email in order to avoid any surprise upon arrival||5 - Billing: Many items that I had consumed throughout my stay were recorded and I had to tell reception upon my checkout in order to pay right consumption bill.||6 - Distance to city center. Read moreTerrazas del Calafate Hotel has a spectacular lake view from the large room and picturesque windows. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom includes a spa tub. The tub should have been a selling point, but it was old and some of the jets were missing and those jet holes looked a little festy. I had a bath that night but skipped the jets. |The other big minus was the heating. It didn’t work properly. This wasn’t an issue while the sun came in through the big windows, but after dark it became decidedly cool. Their answer was to give me an extra blanket. This is no solution as an extra blanket doesn’t help getting up in the morning and preparing to leave. |I have discovered travelling through South America that heating isn’t a priority. I cannot work out why, especially in the southern latitudes. It’s really something they need to improve to cater for international guests. |The room at this hotel cost me $US100. It is a nice hotel but it’s the little things that need to be addressed. The Terrazas del Calafate isn’t a bad option if staying in El Calafate.|Check out my other reviews of places, hotels and experiences throughout...
Read morenot very close to downtown (however not far) but very nice, almost elegant and wonderfull view! ||||The room is confortable and the view is superb (I believe that all rooms have the same view on the Argentino lake). However it is a true 3 stars than a 4 stars but very close to 4.||||the main value is Mariano a person working in the concierge! who was able to organize and facilitate our very short but also very intensive period. In 2 days we saw the Perito Moreno glacier (by boat and by foot), by boat the lake Argentino and the channels and glaciers Spegazzini and Upsala and the reserve Nimez. with two amazing dinners. if you are going in Calafate and you decide to ask the help of a taxy driver (in case of two people or more, the price could be more convenient and the service more flexible than collective tours) ask for Mariana; she was very nice...
