This is A centrally located hotel, near good restaurants, bars, wine shops and parks, besides that the in not much going for this hotel.|Breakfast is very limited, basic and not the best.|Showers are really small and way too old, with water leaking all over the bathroom. In need of cleaning and paint |The AC couldn't be operated from the remote control, fortunately it wasn't that hot and the ceiling fan was enough, I could not imagine staying during summer |Wifi worked reasonably well|First day I had two towels, next dat only one(?) , it was an off /on thing, no apparent reason.|My room , 102, was on the first floor facing Sarmiento street. Avoid rooms that look this street, since the Windows are not soundproof, the noise can be very bothersome, |In general, a very good location but the property needs an urgent infusion of money for repairs and to bring it up to date, please don't get me wrong, I know it's not a 5 star place, but it is crying for updates and to make it more presentable |I would not be returning |Must admit the owner and her son were very nice and accommodating, not...
Read moreWe are on a four week tour of Argentina, staying at mid-priced hotels in a number of different locations. Most have been fine (including the Argentino a couple of blocks away), but the Internacional has been a real disappointment. The only good thing I can say about it is that the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Our room is clean but it is small and shabby. The window doesn’t fit properly, so we get a lot of street noise. The bathroom is very cramped; it’s walls need repainting and while the shower is hot and powerful, after using it the floor is soaked. Breakfast is barely adequate and is served entirely with plastic: plastic bowls, plastic cups, plastic cutlery etc. Very cheap and not very eco-friendly. When I asked for a glass to take to my room I was given a plastic one. Trust me, there are better places to...
Read moreYou can’t beat the location. On the street with a selection of restaurants and bars. 2 mins walk to the main square, which is mediocre, and 10 mins walk to the main bar street that is excellent for a pub crawl and great street atmosphere with seating outside. The hotel is old, but for the money paid you can’t complain too much. The staff on reception were very helpful and perfect English. They gave great advice and printed tickets etc for us. The breakfast is ok, if not a little strange. It’s a buffet set up of sandwiches, cereal, croissants etc and yet you can’t serve yourself. You point at the item and a lady will pick it up and put on your tray. The room was clean, the bathroom dated, bed was comfortable and AC was good. For the money, I would recommend this hotel as a step above hostels,...
