Stopped in for an early-ish dinner. They were not busy, so we were greeted and seated right away. We had bread and a bottle of water quickly, and from there it was all down hill. Service was super slow. We got the wrong salad delivered to the table, and upon asking, it was replaced. We ordered cocktails, and after a long wait I saw the waiter deliver them to a different table - but assumed they ordered the same… until I saw a waiter walking around with other drinks, and talking to our waiter who acknowledged he delivered to the wrong table. Not knowing if the couple had drunk from them or not, we asked for new ones. The new drinks took a really long time - and the waiter felt he had to explain to us how they were made to justify how long they were taking… I’m familiar. Then we waited for our steak… which took way too long. During which wait staff walked past our table a ton and never cleared plates from salad/bread. Ridiculous. Drinks finished, empty glasses (cocktail and water) on the table and we were never asked about having more. Not that I wanted to spend any more money on such a failure of an experience, but just a sign of the poor service. Finally steaks. They were actually pretty tasting. Done well. Seasoned well. But not worth the rest of the night. While sitting and waiting we saw tables that had ordered entrees after us get their food before or within a very reasonable time. Had to ask for the check a couple times, as our waiter walked past us and did other stuff. When asked if it always took an hour for meals… he argued with us. What a joke. Totally unpleasant. Unprofessional. Unacceptable. Oh, the whicker chairs were uncomfortable, we observed waitstaff touching their hair, face and such - then returning to service without washing, and their workflow for dirty dishes pretty much intersects the food coming out of the kitchen. Just really one of the worst dining experiences...
Read moreWe had a good time here. The service was good, with a great wine recommendation from our waiter. Service was a little slow at times. As a couple, we were also recommended the BBQ premium at around 39.000. We asked for medium rare. Most of the huge plate of meat was medium rare, however some cuts, especially the thinnest cut, were overcooked to the point we couldn't eat it as it was so dry. The meat we ate was delicious but even at medium rare was a little more cooked than we have at home. The fries and pear/walnut/blue cheese salad were both very good. A strange moment occurred at the end when the waiter presented the bill. The bill had a dollars/pesos rate of 1150, and the bill suggested a 10% tip. The waiter also provided another piece of paper with a suggested total including tip, with an exchange rate of 1200, and also what amounted to a 22% tip! Very strange! I'm not sure what the aim was here, but we paid an 11% tip in the end that we felt was...
