Hostel Alvear — Hotel in Municipio de Córdoba

Price: good but cheap because you pay for what you get.||||Staff: nice but not very visible and can't speak good English.||||Communal: kitchen is dirty, no food to order, no bar and only 2 tables to eat at for everyone (seat 3 each)||||Rooms: bunks VERY close together, get ready to cuddle up! Bunks have no ladder rooms are really really dark and the beds are not comfy even for hostel standards.||||Service: reguest online for bottom bunk wasn't ever answered and I didn't get it. Refund was not offered when I asked if it was possible, had to pay by cash, no card allowed.||||Very nice outdoor roof terrace and cool wall murals but hostel was pretty dead so no one really used them.||||Location is good for bus stop but in a grim area otherwise.||||I wld...

Luis was a great host. He took the time to help me understand what I could do (free walking tours, what to visit in Córdoba city, but also in the province). The kitchen was well-equipped and clean. The roof terrace was great as well.

The dorm was spacious and clean with lockers. It has a (clean) en-suite bathroom.

The only downside I can mention for this awesome place, is that the dorm that I was in, didn’t have any windows to ventilate the space. If the AC wasn’t turned on, the smell was unfortunately not very nice. There were dorms with windows and I believe even a balcony available, but those are on the street side (more noise in the morning) and a bit more expensive.

Had a great stay at this hostel! Booked a private room with shared bathroom. Everything was clean and the room was very spacious. The common areas are great and really enjoyed hanging out at the rooftop terrace. Right in the centre and walking distance to pretty much everything. Never felt unsafe walking in the area. The service was fantastic - the people are very knowledgeable and provided great recommendations for restaurants/cafes etc. We had a 5 hour layover in Cordoba about a week after our stay and they let us store our luggage at the hostel and use the facilities for free.
