In winter, this small town is a ski resort. One of the events in summer is an international folkdance festival. The hotel has three stories โ ground floor with reception and dining room, and two floors of rooms. Our bedroom was on the third floor. The bedroom itself has two levels: a lounge with television kitchenette, clothes cupboard and toilet downstairs, and the bedroom with bathroom upstairs. The two floors are joined by an open staircase (see photo). This could be troublesome for older people or people with disabilities.||||The television has a good selection of channels including โ apart from numerous Armenian and Russian channels -- BBC, CNN, German and French channels and the excellent French classical music channel Mezzo.||Breakfast was OK. They open only at 7.30, which for groups going on a tourist trip is late. They ran out of filter coffee (only instant coffee was available), and I asked for a new flask of coffee โ it took them 20 minutes to prepare and bring it. It seems that things go at a slow pace in Armenia, which was confirmed further in my trip.||||Since we were two in the room โ my wife and I โ and we had slightly different schedules in the two days in Tsaghkadzor, I asked for two room cards: "No" was the answer; there are not enough cards. A strange answer: it takes only one hour to Yerevan the capital to get a supply of...

Yes, the hotel is not close to the ropeway but they organise free transfers to and from the hotel. Which is better as the street it's on has most of the popular restaurants to eat in Tsaghkadzor. Our room was huge as we asked specifically for a room with a bathtub. All the staff were very nice and super helpful - we arrived at 2am and found our check-in experience to be quick and effortless. The included breakfast was like a continental-style buffet - the only issue was it was a little late, 9.30am-11.30am. The ropeway opens 9am. The bowling alley and games area was a great addition to our evening (especially with the bar present๐). The 2 restaurants connected to the hotel were both exceptional. Overall for our first trip to Armenia, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely come back...
ย ย ย Read moreThat hotel placed in the middle of town, and in the basement there are two the most famous restaurants in the area (factually one, with one kitchen and two different names for every halls). Also they have the one internal restaurant on the ground level, where they served breakfast (included in the room's price) and offer dinner for payment. Pros - location, 3 restaurants, the best breakfast in the area, price is valuable, video-games (XBox based), American and Russian pool tables, 2 bowling track) Cons - as usual you have to wait 10-15 minutes for get warm water for shower at the morning, and after that it will be not warm enough. In the cold weather there are a lot of chinks and cracks for wind, the rooms merely warm enough for sleep. The environment is not new and fixed properly. Conclusion - it's one of optimal choice for stay there, nut be ready for small troubles with water and...
