Ellard Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Belmont

We had a booked in advance a couple weeks ago and my partner and I arrived at the house a couple of hours after the check-in date. We rang the doorbell and while waiting several minutes outside for someone to let us in we get a call from the house (we were standing outside in the cold I don't know why they wouldn't let us in?) and they told us that due to some hygiene reason we couldn't stay in our room that night. I offered to come in later but they flat out said no to that. It was very inconvenient as it was a late Saturday afternoon and they hadn't even bothered to contact us before we reached the location. The person on the phone was good enough to offer to book another place to stay nearby but it was all done on the phone and was quite confusing and honestly very frustrating. If I hadn't arrived at that time I would have checked-in much later and would have possibly not been able to book anywhere close-by making this a huge inconvenience. Wonderful stay, my room set up like a hotel room. Clean and spacious. :Love the homely feel and ability to cook in their lovely kitchen. Now Bubba he is 2 and he slept like a baby ( because he doesn't if he doesn't like) and he actually enjoyed the homely feel. He sat at the big dining table and ate his breakfast beautifully. He did a little exploration. Staff friendly and took my booking straight away. Price is just awesome for the room. well worth for anyone thinking of staying. I just needed a simple, no-frills place to crash for a couple of nights to take care of some business near the Perth Airport, and this place was wholly adequate for my needs. Check in was swift, as the owner gentleman pulled up in just a minute after I rang the bell. It was akin the any large size house in the quaint, seemingly quiet neighborhood, where I had a bedroom at the end of the hall, and a shared bathroom and shower.
