The location was spectacular. Rooms were just ok. The toilet and shower had pipeline noises, and the towel hanger in the toilet was broken.
We came in summer and the air conditioning is located in the living room and not enough air in the bedroom, it was really HOT.
The service was not good, no recommendations were given by the owners and they sent us to the information center in Denham to ask and book a tour while the information centre is never open during the holidays (31Dec-2Jan). The owners were a little bit grumpy and not welcoming, the dog however was super friendly.
We asked if there was a New Year’s Eve celebration in town and the owners told us to forget about it, that there was nothing to do and that you could only go to the Pub in the town. I was thinking in an event in a restaurant. I Never asked about Fireworks. The owners replied there were no Fireworks around.
Denham is an excellent town to stay, an excellent spot for fishing, fauna and flora. We did the 4WD Shark Bay Eco Tours and it was excellent,...
Read moreWe stayed for two nights a couple of weeks ago. The lady in the office was pleasant and helpful. We upgraded to a beachfront unit for an extra $33 per night and it was worth it as otherwise we would have been towards the rear of the property, and the seafront location was the best thing about the property. I enjoyed the little pool, particularly as it was very hot. This property is in a great location, close to everything. We particularly enjoyed dining at The Old Pearler. The kitchen was well equipped with whatever we needed. The unit was clean, although the toilet bowl had some awful dark marks, not a good look, which need a heavy duty clean. Great big bulky lounge chairs in a space too small for them meant the table had to be squashed into the corner, but we pulled it out. We...
Read moreHad a lovely stay at Oceanside, I was in a beach front bungalow, it was well equipped, good shower, comfy bed etc, the only food I prepared was toast for breakfast, but the kitchen had all the utensils you would need and a microwave. The owners are really nice and informative about the area, my bungalow had some areas where the paintwork needed touching up, while I was there the owners had decorators on site, so I imagine it’s in hand, but it wasn’t an issue for me. Monkey Mia is worth driving to and I also took a tourist flight from the local airport which I really enjoyed, thoroughly recommend the shark bay hotel for food, I ate there the 3 nights of my stay, lovely, well cooked food, good prices and a good selection of beers, I would stay at...
