If this place hasn't received the best caravan park award in WA then it should have. We booked late as in 2 days before wanting to be there and were lucky to get the last spot.

Arriving at the park it looked like a usual park, small office, a couple of other building but after booking in and setting off to find our spot we soon discovered how wrong we were.

The park has been terraced up a hill with beautiful wide roadways which were a rare treat in a caravan park. All areas have been done with cracker dust with no cement pads or lawn. Water is a scarce commodity there so fully understand there being no lawn but there were plenty of trees so shade was available for all caravans except up at the newer section, which will need time to grow and become shade.

Showers and toilets were in very good condition with the new block having family shower rooms including a toilet... just like home. There were also wonderful disabled toilet/shower 🚿 cubicles as well. The park also offers some ensuite facilities to those who wish to have creature comforts close by which are also extremely popular.

The campers kitchen is something that you would see in a magazine an absolute fantastic delight to see. Full size ovens, hot plates, outside BBQ areas with seating inside and out. To top it all off, there is a games room with a pool table, ping ping table and a large screen TV with seating so the football and cricket can be watched plus a quiet time for the kids to watch something while mum or dad are cooking a meal. There is also a TV in the kitchen area so the children can sit in that area or maybe watch a cooking show to be inspired for the evening meal.

Well done to the park owners and their staff the place is a credit to you all.

Other facilities close by is a supermarket, the pub and a fish and chip shop. There is a newsagent with a post office and a fantastic range of clothing, toys, gifts and other...

Ah, life on the road. Eighteen months in, crisscrossing this sprawling country in our caravan, chasing the romance of open skies and the promise of somewhere worth pulling over. And then—bam. We stumble into what has to be the most expensive patch of dirt in Australia. $110 a night. For a powered site.

Why stay here? Well, because choice is sometimes just an illusion. We aimed for RAC Monkey Mia, but they don’t want your dog during school holidays. So here we are, wallets lighter, patience thinner.

Maybe they’re playing with “dynamic pricing,” like airlines do when you’re desperate to get home. But this wasn’t even a packed-out park. Empty sites everywhere. A text later offered us an extension at $53 a night. Half price. Which only begs the question - why not just start there? Why push your customers to the edge, then toss them a bone when they’re already on their way out?

The experience left a bitter taste. It’s not just about money - it’s about the feeling of being hustled. And that lingers longer than any sunset view or beachside breeze. For us, the Tasman brand’s now stained. Fool me once, sure. But next time? We’ll be...

It is a beautiful park located right on the beach and has a convenience store right across the road as well as an IGA at the opposite end of the street. Choices of powered sites, ensuite sites, water view sites, and cabins are available. The park is dog friendly 🐕 and you can have your pooches off leash on the beach in front of the park. Amenities are unisex, which are very clean, Has camp kitchen and playground for kids but no pool. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The only reason I didn't give it the 5 starts is the choice of trees in the park. The trees used as wind breaks, I think, are possibly Casuarina Cunninghamiana or River She-Oak, which drop heaps of needles and also a very sticky sap. Unfortunately, the back of the van parks under these trees, and the whole awning and roof of our van is very sticky, and the needles are stuck to the van and awning. Couldn't even really broom them off. Unfortunately, our car is also a sticky mess. So if possible, keep your van as far out from under the trees as is possible or ask for a site which has no trees.

I definitely would recommend this park if you can stay out from...
