Email that was sent to the owner of the motel that I never received a reply
Having stayed at the motel for two nights the 14th and 15th of September I wish to make a formal complaint regarding the apartment we were given
On our making the booking we had to give a credit card over the phone I was under the impression it was for a pending arrangement to make sure we arrived or never paid on us vacating the motel I never gave any permission for the motel to take the payment without my permission on Monday morning I went to pay for the room only to be told it was already paid for
I stay at the Meriton serviced appartments in Sydney and have never been asked for my card details when making a booking
I have stayed at your motel over the years and have never had this happen
When entering the appartment first think I noticed was the dirty mat that was in the main room it's was that dirty you could grow vegetable seeds in the dirt in the mat.
Going to the kitchen to make ourselves a coffee the coffee cups we still wet and the cupboard was also wet.
The next afternoon after we arrived back to the motel my wife noticed our bag of dirty laundry was missing the dirty washing was in a white plastic bag on the bedroom floor beside our suitcases I called the office and explained what had happened they said they would contact housekeepers to see if our dirty clothing had gone to the laundry in the meantime I was at my car and thought I would look in the red sulo bin in the driveway and that's when I seen our dirty clothes still in our bag
I was not very impressed and notified the office the only response was they had new backpacker cleaners and didn't have much experience cleaning motel rooms
Regardless our clothing was thrown out
Only one bed was also made out of three nothing personal was on the beds The sheets and towels were spotless and had no problems with the linen
The day of departure as we had two young children we pulled the single beds out to make sure the children had not left anything behind
Under the beds were a disgrace the amount of jatzs biscuits we seen it was obviously not cleaned
I also took to the front office a receipt dated the 23rd of august that was under the bed from club Dubbo close to a month old I have included a pic for your records
Having stayed at cattlemen's motel over the years and have always enjoyed our stay and was under the impression one of the best motels in Dubbo
This last trip was not an experience we enjoyed complete let down
I will be back in Dubbo again within the next few months

Read moreI received very poor customer service upon arrival. We had planned to have dinner on the site as well as breakfast. I was looking forward to the steak. Upon arrival 2 reception staff were on the phone and that was fine. However not one of them acknowledged my arrival with a smile. I sat down on the little couch and waited. Then the lady served me and put my key on the bench. Not once did she smile or really welcome us. My husband had entered wondering why check in was taking a while. I felt we were standing there as a disruption to the Reception’s day. I had to ask where our room was located and my husband asked where they wanted us to park? The room was good although my husband had a hip replacement and it was my fault that I did not request at the time of booking no stairs. This motel has a lot to offer, it was clean however staff representation could be greatly improved. As I did not want to spend any more money with the company we decided to eat out. The great benefit directly across the road was Rose Garden Thai Restaurant. The food was so delicious and fresh. The host was awesome and we felt the staff were very engaged. It was not expensive. either. A 10/10 if looking for somewhere to eat. The Cattleman’s Country Motel Inn does have a lot to offer but without service I believe it has nothing. At no time were we informed there was an restaurant on site or that there were 2 pools available for guests to use. Yes brochures were on display but not a very inviting atmosphere by the staff. A great opportunity to cross sell missed. The host of the Rose Garden asked us where we were staying? Once informed of our experience she said that was very unusual as the owners were fantastic. Such a shame when the establishment is so close to everything. I really wanted to try the steak with the Diane Sauce but I was stubborn. Let me hope that the next motel on our journey tomorrow night is better. My next journey to Dubbo we will be stopping at Rose Garden Thai Restaurant that is a definite not sure where...
Read moreI booked a family room for 25 April with them direct as I was travelling back from gold cost to Adelaide. First shock I got when even saying on there website I have nothing to pay until I reached there ,they took money form my account without notifying me. Any way I arrived bit earlier then said time and Guy name Matthew on reception done the check in for us. As we entered in room we welcome by Glen20 spray strong smell which showed that room was prepared in hurry bed sheet was dirty, cup, cutlery’s was dirty and filthy Followed by shower. As we are staying only for night I didn’t mind but family was not happy.we had our dinner outside and came back to room for early 8 pm to sleep so we continue next day early morning. As there is no window in room for fresh air and smell was so strong i start the aircon now the real problem start here. Air con was making so noise that we can’t sleep so by 9 I went this Gentleman name Matthew to either fix the problems in our room or change the room he state away start yelling that he can’t do anything for tonight will sort thing next day,all he do offer a free breakfast which I denied. So lastly we end up vacant the room at 10 pm with my kids to stay nowhere. How irresponsible and disgusting unprofessional behaviour done by this clown. I request to any family travelling with kids if you planned to stay in Dubbo stay away from them. I end up driving all night. If possible I could give them ZERO star.and here is all possible photos I attached
