Oporto Dubbo Urban Village — Restaurant in Dubbo

Would not recommend. Food was handed to another customer who proceeded to open the food (3 seperate people) put their hands in the bags and realise it was wrong. When I asked for the food that had been replaced I WATCHED THE OWNER MOVE THE FOOD FROM ONE BAG TO THE OTHER. When I pointed it out the owner argued with and and showed me ONE bag of food that he had kept and replaced and not three bags 😡 instead of replacing it he decided to argue with me about it. Finally after he argued about it said he would change it, but frankly I was already so annoyed at the food handling safety of this store I decided to take the food and throw it in the nearest bin. I have also contacted the food health regulator about this experience as if this is what they do in front of customers I couldn’t imagine what happens behind the scenes and for food...

I used to eat Oporto from the original Bondi Oporto when it was first a hit and the quality was great.

As the franchises grew I noticed the corners being cut and the quality of the food dropping.

I stopped eating Oporto for several years due to it being such poor quality ‘take away’ food.

Stopping by Dubbo after a long road trip I decided to see how Oporto franchise has progressed over the years….

Terrible. So TERRIBLE…!

It is now on par with McDonald’s and kfc and hungry jacks and all those rubbish franchise chains.

Only difference is your paying the same amount to have chef prepared meals at a proper professional restraunt.

$60 for floppy stale chips, wraps that are 90% bread 5% meat 5% lettuce

And burgers I had to stop before I vomited.

Service was flat and EVERYTHING is extra….

Even the type of...

So ... a vegetarian ordered a veggie burger with pineapple and extra cheese. The incompetent staff at this hack of a joint added bacon instead. Then, when the vegetarian bit into his burger and found the bacon ... the staff proclaimed loudly "YOU ORDERED BACON!" ... why would a vegetarian of 25 years order dead pig?! Instead of an apology, he got accused of ordering something he didn't and then the replacement meal came with pineapple, no cheese and still no apology. There were three other people in the shop ALL of whom got things other than what they'd ordered. Why even bother taking orders?? Just give people whatever you feel like ... because that's what happened anyway.

Rude. Revolting.
