Central Highlands Motor Inn Kyneton - motel rooms start at $155 — Hotel in Loddon Mallee

Very happy!

I have high standards and I’m pleased to say that this quaint place exceeded my expectations!

Our original accommodation in Kyneton fell through so I was scrambling to look for a last minute stay otherwise I’d have to drive back to Melbourne late at night. Called these people and they said yes, they had a room available and offered to pop on the heater as I said I’d be there in an hour (nearly 9pm).

On arrival, check in was quick/easy - They were very friendly & they gave us a little bottle of milk for the fridge - so much nicer than having long life milk pods (which I hate!) - it’s these little touches that makes the experience so much more appreciated.

The room was toasty - slept like a baby without being cold - electric blankets provided - popped it on for half an hour to warm up the bed but turned it off as the room was plenty warm.

Shower had a nice high head - good for taller people, hot water with good pressure and towels were fluffy (not threadbare). Seperate toilet - appreciated!

Plenty bench space - was able to make a nice plunger coffee and we had some bagels so we toasted it up in the provided toaster so it was nice to have that option (they also had a couple plates, bowls & crockery on top of the usual coffee/water glasses). Delicious Tim Tams and Kooka cookies also provided and a small bowl of mints next to the bed.

Mini fridge was in excellent condition (not old, rusted or frosty) - two bottles of water in there, nice to have a drink through the night.

Bed was comfortable - pillows were justttt right, blankets - perfect.

FINALLY! A motel that ticked all boxes. The staff have seemingly made it look easy, the room was a last minute decision but Helen at the front desk secured the last room for the night for me (15 mins before closing) and made sure my late check in wasn’t a problem! The room itself is great. There is plenty of bench space, no half size appliances or cramming too much into a room. The toilet has a room of its own which is always pleasant. The shower is roomy and has a high faucet (helps when your 6”4) and the attached bathroom area is spacious. The bed was comfortable with good pillows. The part that really made me happy however with the Maccona coffee and the full sized milk.

The rooms, though not huge was adequate with all the amenities that we may possibly need. I’m always impressed by the little touches Which they had thought of in this place. Having coffee bags (instead of just instant coffee) , Tim Tam and other biscuits (we didn’t eat any) having bowls and cutlery etc was good to see. ||The bathroom was well equipment and the shower rose was fit for a giant to stand under. Impressed (& the water pressure was amazing) They even had an outside garden area to sit under a beautiful pergola and willow tree.||The towels were of a good quality (not scratchy) as was the bed linen…. Though the bed was hard. ||I wish this establishment well as they provide a good service...
