First walk of my Timeshare holiday in Kyneton was visiting the Kyneton Botanic Gardens plus doing part of the Campaspe River Walk. It can be accessed via Clowes Street.

The Botanic Gardens is very large and spacious with several walking paths which loop around and join up to the Campaspe River Walk below. There is a large variety of trees in the gardens including Jelly Palm, Deodar Cedar Pine, Giant Redwood, Bunya Pine and more.

There's quite a few facilities at the Botanic Gardens too including a playground, BBQ area, public toilets and picnic tables. Along the walking paths, there's several information boards about the history of this area in Kyneton.

The Campaspe River Walk was equally as beautiful and stunning. We checked out the Mollison Street Bridge, the Campaspe Weir and a couple of boardwalks. There were plenty of Australian Wood Ducks sitting on the weir and swimming along the river.

Overall, this is a really beautiful place to visit. It's very peaceful, relaxing and not too strenuous to...

Set up by the Legendary Garden designer Von Mueller, this Botanical Gardens set along the Campase River is a worth while stroll on any occasion! Both new and old meet, with discreet statues up the top through the now Old growth European trees and a stroll along the river front which can lead you to Piper Street bridge! If you explore around, an amazing water play area and play ground can be found! Not far from an Old shed which was once a cover for the sheep and pig sale yards formerly down Market street in Kyneton! Well worth exploring, can take all day! Keeps the...

It's a lovely little county botanic gardens..They have places to sit, play area for the chrildren.. Huge trees and a river to see. It's a great size. A few different entry points to enter from. Off street parking, even throu we saw a car driving around to find a great spot.. Large trees to put chairs down and sit a while or s picnic rug to lunch and cuddle and watch the day go buy.

Well worth a visit.. Before you go pop into the local bakery grab a hot coffee and pie with a pastry and as the say Bob's your uncle enjoy...

A beautiful family (including dogs) friendly park space and a great variety of plant species to see and learn about. Great signage for the plants and navigating the park space. Great all year round with peak times in the spring and autumn. Parking is better during off peak season and times. Public toilets are available on site with ample seating picnic tables and rubbish bins throughout the park. You can drive point to point through the base of the park or walk point to point along the river.

Really beautiful gardens, the Campaspie River walk is especially nice. I timed it right with all that autumn colour. The river is pretty clean and the walk is really nice. It's a long way round to Piper Street. I wish I followed it around to the old hospital though. The gardens has a selection of deciduous and every green trees. I'm sure in the summer, it's equally as beautiful. Kyneton is a surprisingly beautiful little town. I wish I could move somewhere like that.
