Upon entry the first thing we noticed was the smell of cigarettes that would not go away, had to buy glen 20 and spray it daily to cover up the smell. There is not a single wall in the place that does not have a nick/ marking on it. The main curtain had a prominent burn/black marking on it and damages to it. The drinking glasses were not even cleaned properly, the bathroom was not cleaned properly with a used cotton swab in the corner, dirty detergent tray in the washing machine, the sink surface was cracked and falling apart, mildew in the tiles of the shower. The carpet was dirty in various places as well. Had to buy slippers to wear around the place because we did not trust walking barefoot in the place. Not once did we want to sit on the couch provided as well. We stayed here for 6 nights. Mid way through our stay, we put the room service sign on our door early in the morning at 8am and came back later in the night to find our room was not serviced. And we had already placed our towels in the bath/shower as one of their room service rules to receive fresh towels. But as the room was not serviced, our towels were already on the shower floor and was unusable. I really felt like it couldn't get worse after first stepping into the apartment but this place really finds creative ways to disappoint, disgust and anger you further. Also parking there is an extra $20 per night. Please don't waste your money on a stay here. Please go somewhere else. They do not care about doing better like they say in their review replies. We have seen their maintenance jobs in the apartment and the maintenance paint jobs are patchy. And if they cared about doing better why are there that many damages to the place still unfixed? And why is the service way below the bare minimum not even receiving room service when we put the sign out for it very early? If they're going to say that they'll do better then they should act upon it. We had initially booked the place because it had a kitchen but after seeing the state of the whole place we did not feel like cooking at all as we did not trust the cleanliness of the utensils/ space offered. Read moreI stayed at punthill apartments for 6 weeks and while staying there I can tell you the cleaner Kim is absolutely amazing she does amazing at keeping the upkeep of rooms well maintained and she’s a very kind friendly person my kids adore her she’s a real asset to the hotel I love the fact it’s pet friendly to
The rooms are cosy and comfortable lacking a few of the basic things so always make sure you pack everything if you can
They were slack with somethings but again that was the hotel owner lacking into orders of towels and soap ect but I did run into a problem with a Crazy man there I think the situation was handled poorly and they need to invest in cameras and learn to protect the people staying there and there stuff as the poor reception was so scared she was hiding in my apparent at one stage so scared so I had to be the one to call the police all while keeping my children safe as they were scared also I think they need to look into this situation more to prevent it happening in the future
Also need to do some upgrades with there wifi is shockingly bad the tv the amount of problems we had with the tv was absolutely not funny
But at least the stuff were all kind and friendly and most tried to help were they could so that’s good reception hours need to be a little longer as well but that’s no biggie really I guess
Overall it’s not a bad place to stay but i mean it could be improved but that’s not the stuff’s fault it’s down to the mangers to improve the quality of there hotel as I’ve stayed in a few this year alone and I can tell you this wasn’t the worst but definitely could see improvements
Also be aware people smoking on balcony does travel into the rooms so when I first arrive the room stuck of cigarettes but walking into the hotel entrance it smelled absolutely amazing
Over all few changes and this place could be so much better but I did enjoy my stay and so did my kids and that’s what counts the most

Read moreI have been staying here for nearly a decade and in the past have always enjoyed my stay & would have given them 4 or 5 stars a few years ago - however the management has changed now and the place is not being well looked after anymore. The rooms are not as clean as they were, maintenance doesn't seem to be what it was (paint peeling, the gym equipment not functioning and so on) - not really awful, but a noticeable difference, and the new younger staff members are less helpful. I was put in a room right on the main road on level one and it was extremely noisy. In the past as a regular business customer from a large company I had always been given a studio apartment away from the road & given what felt like special treatment - no longer it seems. I complained that I was unable to sleep due to the excessive noise from the busy main roads, but the staff were either unable or unwilling to do anything about it. I suspect unwilling as they didn't even offer to move me later in the week - everything just seemed too hard for them and they just dismissed me with minimal effort. Thus I spent a miserable, sleepless week here. I even got to the point where I blew up at my manager because he wanted me back the following week and I was so tired and homesick I could not cope with it anymore. If possible, I will not be returning to Punthill Knox. If my work won't put me up somewhere better, I will refuse to travel.
