I really love Flip Out! I’ve been visiting Flip Out Box Hill for a long time, so I can compare it with the newly opened Knox center. Both locations have well-trained and friendly staff, and I would give them the highest rating for their service.
Despite being newly opened, Flip Out Knox is very well-organized, and I believe it’s all thanks to the hard work of the staff. They handle their tasks with care and generosity. Since most of the customers are children, the staff’s friendly and approachable attitude really stands out. They know how to engage with kids at their level, which makes a big difference.
The new center also has a variety of exciting equipment. My daughter especially loves the new play structures and rock climbing area. At first, I was a little worried about visiting a new location, but the staff are clearly well-trained and knowledgeable about Flip Out’s safety policies, so we felt completely at ease and had a great time.
Another thing I really appreciate is how clean the center is. I would give them high marks for maintaining such a hygienic environment, which is important for families.
Thank you once again for providing such a wonderful center to enjoy! I highly recommend everyone to visit...
Read moreI visited this new location with my kids and was curious how it would compare to the Box Hill Flip Out, given the Knox site used to be Funtopia.
While I appreciate the effort of a new business, this feels more like the old Funtopia with minor updates. A section of rock climbing areas are gone, replaced by a small trampoline section that was quite underwhelming. My kids, who were excited to bounce, found the space too limited and wanted to leave after just 30 minutes.
The rock climbing experience could improve with more staff and better queue management. My son had to wait 15 minutes only to be told it was too busy to climb and to come back in a further 15 minutes. Additionally, younger kids need more accessible climbing walls since the grips are too far apart.
The playground remains unchanged and is enjoyable, but the overall experience felt understaffed, especially on a public holiday. Ordering coffee was an unusual first, couldn't choose my milk as they only offered a machine, not a barista - so full cream milk it was!
The staff and owners were friendly and doing their best, but the experience didn’t quite meet expectations for a Flip Out. My kids and I settled on a 3-star rating. Best of luck to them...
Read moreVisited Flip Out Knox and had a reasonably good experience. The positives were that the facility itself was very clean and provided a lot of entertainment for the kids. Trampolines, arcade style games, various climbing walls as well as a soft play frame with a toddler area included. We didn’t try much of the food but true toastie we had was fairly straight forward.
What was really good was that there appeared to be staff proactively engaged at each area. Doesn’t mean parents shouldn’t be the primarily supervision for the kids but the staff there were present. Which was good.
The coffee I bought was too sweet and I couldn’t finish it. The arcade games are an additional cost with 12 tokens for $10. There is a service fee for using eftpos and cash is not accepted at the token machine.
There were remnants from when the venue was Funtopia as well. Which we have also visited and draw comparison. The car ride area has been removed and replaced by the arcade games. Some wall faces were removed for trampolines to be installed.
Overall, Flip Out Knox was better in that there was more staff presence and involvement, but the food...
