Dumpling Alley Knox — Restaurant in Melbourne

Had a bad experienced while dining at your restaurant today. Came in at about 15:20 hrs and ordered our food - Xian Long Bao, Dan Dan noodles and Yong Chow fried rice. During that time, there were only two tables having their meals and we thought that our orders will be very fast since there are no other customers. Then came in another customers occupying two tables after the waiter had taken our orders. We were surprised and annoyed that those customers who came in after us were served first and when we complained, the waiter was not helpful at all. When our food finally arrived at 15:45 hrs, the manner the waiter placed the food on our table was not courteous at all and rude. As for the food, the Xiao Long Bao was below expectations with the “bao skin” being too thick and the Dan Dan noodles were poorly prepared with a spoonful of minced meat and not tasty. Maybe the chef were not happy with our compliant ! As for the timing of food preparation and serving, kindly evaluate weather the three items mentioned above required 25...

Sep2023 Back for their Xiao Long Bao & pork Belly hotpot which gives me nostalgic memories of good prepared by my Chinese friends’ mum’s or grannies when I visit their homes during my teenage years in KL. I miss these dishes and now they are available near me 😍🤓 Today I tried their black egg custard. Hmmm … tasted different from my expectation but afterwards, I wanted to eat more of it.

July2023 Came back for their pork belly and Xiao long Bao. So delicious 😋

Also tried their osmanthus jelly with goji berry & chinese steamed & fried Bao with condensed milk. Lovely tasty 😋 sweet food

Best Hakau ever tasted. Succulent, hot, prawny to a yummy degree! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 The Xiao long Bao was filled with chicken and broth which squirted out when biting into it. Beautiful taste. Wonton in soup was divine and the chilled chicken in chilli sauce was delicious.

placed order of 2 dumpling dishes about 12 today before my daughter was to start work 1pm at Knox. We watched others who ordered after us get meals. At 12.25 I enquired about our meal to be told they had to make the chicken and lemon grass and they would be 5 minutes I explained we had to leave soon. This dish finally arrived 7 minutes later. I will say food was delicious. I made my daughter eat 4 of these as no sign of other dish! When I spoke to the lady on the counter that we only received 1 dish she was we are busy! No excuse the table that was next to us ordered 15min after us and got 2 main and 3 different dumpling dishes! My daughter is now at work after a very light lunch and I have just finished some Sushi Hub!! Your food might be nice but your service was atrocious. Will not be back...
