Where Every Room Tells a Story – My Heartfelt Experience at Courtyard Murdoch | Silk Hospitality 🌟 Working as a Room Attendant at Courtyard Murdoch, under the guidance of Silk Hospitality, has been so much more than just a job, it has been a journey of purpose, pride, and people. Every single day here is a chance to make someone’s stay more comfortable, more peaceful, and more memorable.

But what makes my experience truly special is the connection with our guests. At Courtyard Murdoch, guest service isn’t just a task, it’s a heartfelt promise. We don’t just clean rooms; we prepare spaces that feel like a sanctuary after a long flight, a comforting retreat after a stressful day, or a quiet corner where a guest can finally breathe. Whether someone is visiting for business, study, or to be with loved ones at the nearby hospital, we serve with empathy because every guest brings a story, and every story deserves kindness.

🛏️ Exceptional Guest Service – From the Heart Here, guest service is not just a responsibility, it's a passion. As a Room Attendant, I take great pride in preparing each space with love and attention to detail. We know that behind every check-in is a story, whether someone is visiting loved ones at the nearby hospital, here for business, or just exploring Perth. We treat every guest with the respect and kindness they deserve, and every smile or thank-you we receive means the world to us. We go the extra mile not because we have to, but because we care.

📍 Perfectly Located for Comfort & Convenience Courtyard Murdoch is in an ideal location — walking distance from Fiona Stanley and St John of God Hospitals, Murdoch University, and close to public transport including Murdoch Station. Whether you're a guest attending appointments, classes, or sightseeing, the area is peaceful, clean, and well-connected, with everything you need just a short walk away.

🦺 Safe, Secure & Serene Guests often tell us how safe and secure they feel here, and I see why. The hotel is nestled in a calm, modern neighborhood, with secure entry, professional 24/7 service, and a sense of tranquility that helps you relax completely. We’re proud to maintain the highest cleanliness standards, creating not just a beautiful space, but a safe haven.

🚶‍♀️ Highly Walkable & Accessible You can easily stroll to nearby cafés, medical centers, pharmacies, and even beautiful green spaces. The walkability and quiet charm of the area is something many guests compliment, and I always love hearing how easy and enjoyable it is for them to get around.

🏋️‍♂️ Thoughtful Facilities Guests love our modern gym, inviting lounges, and peaceful courtyard areas perfect for unwinding after a long day. As staff, we’re proud to keep these spaces clean, welcoming, and relaxing, ensuring guests feel refreshed and looked after.

🍽️ Delicious Food & Drinks The on-site dining options are another favorite, offering quality meals and beverages that bring guests comfort and joy. Whether it’s a quick coffee in the morning or a relaxing dinner, the food here always receives glowing feedback. And if guests need local tips, we’re always happy to recommend nearby eateries!

🌿 A Place That Leaves a Lasting Impression To our guests: Thank you for making our work so meaningful. Your kind words, quiet appreciation, and trust inspire us every day. It’s an honor to care for the spaces you rest in and to be part of your travel memories, even if you never see us, we serve you with pride and heart.

To future guests: Come experience a stay that goes beyond expectations, where service is warm, rooms are cared for with love, and every moment is filled with comfort, connection, and calmness.

With sincere gratitude, — A Room Attendant who believes in the beauty of serving with heart 💛 Courtyard Murdoch |...

Overall experience: Worst hotel we ever stayed. Disappointment from the check in then it getting worse the whole time we stay. This hotel is not worth for what you paid for, definitely not recommend it to anyone. If you don’t have to stay in this exact area, please avoid this hotel. Location: in the middle of nowhere with nothing around except the hospital and industrial facilities. The hotel: it’s still not fully completed yet, there’re still a lot of constructions going on within and around the building, carpark is bit of a hazard zone to drive into. The room: good size room and nice bathroom and feels clean because it’s a brand new hotel. Facilities and amenities: There’s no swimming pool in the hotel, the amenities in the room are rather poor. Minibar’s empty, there are only 2 pieces of each item, tea, coffee and sugar. Bathroom amenities are also poor and not enough necessary items like: razor, cotton pad and cotton bud…ect.

Service: This is a huge turn off for our experience. They definitely need a lot more training for their staff and need to be taught how to provide good customer service. Check-in: after paying for our room in full in advance, the receipt or invoice wasn’t provided nor information about the wifi and the restaurant where we will have breakfast in the morning, NOTHING was provided at all. Next morning, we wanted to have coffee in the room before going to have breakfast, we found there’re only 2 sticks of instance coffee and 2 sticks of sugar which only enough for 1 medium size cup and we like strong coffee, hence we called the reception and asked for more coffee and sugar (it was 6.55am), waited for 20 minutes nothing happened, we called again and waited another 15 minutes and still nothing happened and we called AGAIN for THE THIRD TIME and the answer was: our housekeeping hasn’t started yet, they are not working until 9.00am and there is only me in the reception so I can’t leave here!!!! Wow, such a professional customer service response from a “4 star hotel” (absolutely NOT)! Breakfast: Another turn off point added to our experience. The so-called buffet breakfast was the poorest selection I ever seen in a hotel. There are some cereals, one select of fresh fruit was rock melon and the hot foods were just basic on the menu and you have to order at the counter then go to the kitchen to pick up when it’s ready, it’s like you having breakfast at a bistro at a pub/club. Food was below average, staffs were unfriendly. Housekeeping: They threw away our half full bottle of water that we left on the...

We booked 2 rooms and stayed for a night as a stopover. Very clean and comfy rooms, amenity was ok, not great but decent. We enjoyed our stay and the only downside was the service at the concierge during the check-in. We were served by Ms Tenzin, she was polite and nice throughout the check in process but I was greeted by a rude attitude when I walked over to ask for a drink. There were complimentary water and champagne for guests who check-in. While I was waiting for the rest of my family at the lounge, I walked over to ask if I could get a drink for myself and my mum. Ms Tenzin wasn't busy, i waited till there were no other guests. She wasn't on the phone either. After I asked my question, she looked up and said "I'm sorry? " without a smile but with a condescending look. I repeated twice in perfect English. And she looked over at the drinks and said "oh sure" I wasn't sure if it was a self service process because I've seen her pouring for a group of Caucasian ladies earlier on. Anyway i decided to help myself and poured a glass of water and a champagne. She looked over with a judgemental expression. My hands were full and I dropped the cap. She didn't even bother to help and I had to hold 2 glasses, and a phone on my hand. I'm not sure if this is the service standard of a 4 star Marriot. In that moment I felt quite angst with this kind of attitude that I am getting. I do not wish that this is some racist service that I am experiencing in such a nice hotel. Is this how you serve your guests and why the differentiated treatment? If it is a self service counter, it will be helpful to put a signage. There were also new and used glasses all over, I couldn't tell which are the used or new glasses. Ms Tenzin should have come over to assist, that's the minimal that she should do as a service staff, especially when there are no other people around and she was entirely free. More training should be provided to the staff to ensure a pleasant experience. It could have been a 5 star stayed for us, but unfortunately for this incident, I think the service deserve...

We'd like to praise hotel staff, Deepak. We were homeless (after prob arise at our AirBnB) family of 4 with small children at 2am. Called multiple hotels, but were unable to accommodate to our request. Deepak gave us that lil' hope, but not a promise just by telling us "let me check what I can find here". Those words of hope is enough to calm us. We were lucky that the room we wanted were cancelled by someone. Managed to book online and Deepak said "I will take note of your booking here. Please make your way here once you have book". Again, those words, were priceless. Made our way, and were greeted by Deepak at 3am. Knowing the children were hungry, he offered to open up the bar for us to purchase the sandwiches and some extras bottled water. Up till now, we were forever grateful to Deepak for the excellence service from the heart, Going the Extra Miles Service. Counter staffs were always smiling and very approachable. Staffs will give a call back should they discover a missed call from hotel guest's room. Room were clean and spacious. For a Double Bed, it is quite small. Our understanding for double bed will be a Queen Size bed which fits 2 pax, but, here, it feels like a Super Single bed, still we were able to squeeze. For a hotel that is only opened for 3 months (as of June 2024), the service and cleanliness is AMAZING! Agreed that housekeepers need more training. There are times where new floor mats were not given and old bath towels were not removed from the room, but new ones were topped up. Didn't get the breakfast while we were there for 4 nights. Parking were easy and there were ample space. Since the building are shared with Murdoch Residence, we truly understood the lot that was meant for hotel guests were a little further from the lift lobby, but still, walking distance. Overall, Courtyard Perth Murdoch, you have won our heart! We will be back!

Hotel targeted at those visiting the medical facilities in its vicinity but we still enjoyed it as temporary long term accommodation. Rooms were modern and enjoyed lots of natural light due to its floor to ceiling windows. You get decent views of Murdoch area towards the city with some room windows facing north. Walking distance to Murdoch train station so its easy to take public trains to the city. Gym was well equipped and hardly used so great for introverts. The whole check-in process was seamless and staff were always ready to help. There were not many room options to choose from but our room with 2 double beds could comfortably accommodate a family of 4. The included breakfast was great, just need to be aware of the process the first time as its not your typical buffet but a la carte style up to a certain value per guest. Breakfast options were an upgrade to your typical scrambled eggs and toast as there were smashed avo and even a chili crag egg scramble on flat bread. The biggest challenge is the parking which is either based on luck if you can find street parking which is free in the evenings but then having to move off in the mornings, but you could do as the local workers do and park diagonally across where the construction site is as there are other cars parked there all day without incident. Or just pay an exorbitant amount to the adjacent multistorey carpark. There are some interesting characters that loiter outside the hotel which seem to be either patients of the nearby medical (mental health?) facility, or long term residents of the apartments beside the hotel and some look sketchy as but there's enough traffic and activity in the hotel lobby to not feel unsafe.

The newly opened Courtyard Murdoch in Perth offers a refreshing stay for travelers seeking modern amenities and comfort. This contemporary hotel, situated conveniently near Murdoch University and Fiona Stanley Hospital, excels in both convenience and style. Upon entering, guests are greeted by a sleek, inviting lobby with a friendly and professional staff ready to assist with any needs. The rooms are well-appointed, featuring comfortable beds, high-speed Wi-Fi, and smart TVs. The decor is tasteful, with a blend of neutral tones and vibrant accents that create a warm, relaxing atmosphere. Dining at the hotel's restaurant is a delightful experience, offering a menu that combines local flavors with international cuisine. The breakfast semi buffet, in particular, stands out with a variety of fresh, delicious options to start the day right. The hotel's amenities are decent for Courtyard standards, including a small but well-equipped fitness center. Overall, Courtyard Murdoch is a fantastic addition to Perth's hotel scene, providing a comfortable, stylish, and convenient stay for both business and leisure travelers. Its thoughtful design and exceptional service ensure a memorable experience. Parking is still currently free - not $30 as stated in website.
