Aroma Cafe — Restaurant in Murdoch

Multiple bad experiences here. I’m a nurse at FSH where this cafe is so I’ve had plenty of time to get a good gauge, and they fail more than they win.

Service is atrocious. The baristas are lovely but the register girls are abrupt, short, and have NO idea how to provide good service. Extra charges for different milks (even tho almond milk and soy milk cost the same), got my shake order wrong every time or told me what I wanted in it wasn’t possible, have burnt my coffee more than once and also gave me dairy milk once when I asked for almond, and today when I went at a busy time (it was the only time I could get down there as I was working), there was a line of no less than 15 people and all I wanted was an apple. I picked one up and stood near the registers hoping someone would ring me up and let me get back to work (yes I believe hospital staff should be prioritized), and I was abruptly told ‘you’ll have to go to the back of the line, thanks’. I put the apple back and went to sumo and got my fruit there. Won’t bother...

I usually get the Florentine Muffin, heated up extra warm. Today I placed the same order and the lady taking my order ignored my request for ‘extra warm’ even though I repeated myself. She just nodded and smiled and when she passed the message to another girl, she did not mention to heat it up ‘extra warm’. When i brought the muffin back to my desk, as i had thought, the muffin was lukewarm and the filling was cold. I have never had an issue with this, so disappointing a simple request was disregarded. Fortunately there are new cafes that have opened around the area, I will going there...

I'm definitely a regular at hospital due to me having dialysis 3 days a week. Firstly, I never was a fan of bbq sauce but then one cold, rainy early morning I met the tradies breakfast and my mind was changed instantly. It's my new fave meal option now. I'll be honest and say I look forward to my early morning hospital visits every time so I can drop by and order a tradies breakfast and a reg english breakfast tea with milk and 2 sugars. Also, I need to say the staff here are so pleasant. They really do work so hard, it really starts my morning off on a positive note....
