Had to attend Wexford Medical Centre recently for an appointment. Staff were really friendly, professional and helpful, well sign posted, but there are 3 things I would like to suggest/comment on and these are:
Dust on aircon vents on roof where air comes out and also I noticed on the wall mounted air con controller it was saying "Clean Filter" so it made me wonder how often aircon filters actually get cleaned 🤔
There are big windows at either end of the floor with lots of natural light flooding in but yet all the lights are on. If the lights could be turned OFF during the day or at least put on a sensor so they come ON when the corridor is in use and OFF when corridor is not in use then this would help to save the hospital money on the Electricity bill and make light bulbs last longer which would also save money and also help to save the environment.
Perhaps replacing hand paper towels in the bathroom with a hand dryer as this would also save the environment as not as many paper towels would be used and not as many bin bags/liners...
Read moreParking. Is awful. I take my elderly father there once a month for his appointments. He has an Acrod Pass, as he uses a walker and can only walk a few steps at a time. Never has there been a parking space in the disabled bays available. There are only 2 disabled bays ... at a hospital? So I drop him in the drop off bay, which he gets very confused about, and spend the next 20 mins or so trying to get a parking spot. Never once have I got a parking bay without having to drive around and around. I can't drive out of the parking area and go find a bay somewhere else as I can't get out as I need to pay for my parking ticket, which I can't do as I can't park my car anywhere! I have no where else to drop my father, the other side is a bus bay. Please put in some more disabled bays. Its so hard to manage the infirm and elderly with their Drs...
Read morepoor number of ACROD bays available. can't believe when attending a building filled with Dr specialists and when mobility is such a issue its very disappointing. so few bays available and very narrow bays. when im left with no option of a ACROD bay and trying to get in and out of my car I can't open my door wide enough to be able to get and out safely.
then there's the issue of the ridiculously poor designed lift system. very slow waiting times with the lifts not being sized adequately for the buildings traffic. when this lift system is due for modernizing I would look at getting the current lift traveller statistics before planning anything.
the only reason I gave 3 stars was because of your satisfactory signage directions and the cleanliness of...
