With a sad heart I write this review!|The young owners are trying hard to get this place up to code but after one year it's obvious that they're struggling.|The place is clean but........|The only window in the room was locked and we had to call them late on the first night to get the key to open it. The air in the room was stuffy and it was a warm night. We needed air circulation.|Next was the smoke alarm. It needed a new battery. It kept beeping and we had no choice but to disengage it because we couldn't sleep! |We told them the next day and they said they'd replace the battery but, we were there for 5 nights and still no battery was replaced!|The shower 'cubical' was dark and small even though the lighting in the bathroom was good, it didn't cover the shower area. The exhaust fan was in the shower and didn't do much to remove the steam !|Again, they said that they were expecting an electrician that day to fix the issue but that didn't make sense because obviously they can't have repairs done while the room is occupied!!|Next, a large part of the carpet had obviously been flooded and when we walked over it out feet because damp. |And finally, only 2 dinner plates, two bowls, cutlery for two and two teaspoons. |I won't get into details about the bed but, we have returned home so much more tired than when we arrived there! |Again, the young couple are trying but they don't have anything in order(occ health and safety etc.) and as such shouldn't be booking rooms until they are fit to be occupied.|By the way, the room is advertised as a 'Deluxe King' !!|Honestly, we're still in physical pain because of the bed.|We're also very upset because it's not any cheaper than other Motels that are so, so...
Read moreAfter staying at many many motels budget to expensive poor and fantastic over the years I sit here after staying in room 25 at Bendigo motor inn thinking what do i expect from a budget motel. Room 25 has been obviously ignored by the owners at the customers expense and a few that would have very little cost to fix. Walking in the door i was met with an overwhelming smell of disinfectant so i left the front door open then opened the back door to get some airflow i then closed the wire door finding it has a large hole in it. Next i put my coke in the fridge finding the freezer severely needs defrosting having a feeling its not the first time due to the stains on the carpet, Bedside tables would have been $2 at a recycle yard that i would not put anything on and maybe the lamp was thrown in. My toilet roll was on the bench in the bathroom not in reach because the toilet roll holder was broken, and a few other things as you will see in the photo's. Luckily only a one night stay on my way home. do motels like this count on people just walking out saying i wont be staying here again and not submitting...
Read moreI originally booked for a 2 day work trip. Due to changes by my company I messaged through booking.com and requested a cancellation/refund as booking.com allowed it. I contacted the business and the lady I spoke to blatantly said “can’t help you”. After trying to contact the business through booking.com I decided to call back the next day to speak to someone to explain my situation as I wasn’t being responded to via the online chat anymore. I asked to speak to the owner/manager and was met with the same lady who told me she “can’t help me”. After explaining my situation that I wouldn’t be able to attend the booking she OFFERED a partial refund but I would need to contact booking.com directly. The customer service rep from booking.com was helpful and said they needed to email the business for them to confirm this. It has been a MONTH and this business has NOT replied or issued the refund they said AGREED they would.
