Sandhurst Motor Inn Bendigo — Hotel in Northern Victoria Region

I think the Sandhurst has changed hands since our first stay last year. The experience this time was not the same as our stay last year. It did not feel as welcoming. Reception hours are very limited (to the extent that I didn't see staff at any stage during a 4 night stay - my friend and colleague was pressured to collect the room key early afternoon instead of being able to check in during the evening) . There was pressure to prepay by phone while we were driving there. There was very unpredictable room service throughout the stay which got worse (non existent) by night 4. We stayed 4 nights while staying in Bendigo for work. Each day they had a sign on reception door saying they were "temporarily unavailable" and apologised for any inconvenience. The only time they contacted us was to pressure us to make payment. For the rest of our stay they were unavailable and disinterested. On our last night our allocated carpark outside our room was occupied by other trailers and vehicles. It was difficult to find a car park near our room. On the morning when we queried it with the owner of one of the trailers that had blocked our parking space, we were informed that they had been instructed to park there by the owners. It was quite disappointing given that we had loved our stay so much the previous year with the previous owners.

Stayed here for work on a couple of nights and absolutely loved it.The rooms are spotless and quite spacious, with plenty of storage space, more than enough amenities for your needs, be it an overnight or a long stay.The bathroom's also quite spacious and with a proper shower stall, plenty of fresh towels too.The bed's are so comfy and the sheets are soft. The A/C unit's in the rooms are quiet and very efficient.There's a swimming pool and a small bbq area and also a guest laundry. We were travelling without having booked anywhere for the night, so decided on an area and googled available accommodation and picked this hotel based on reviews. ||Called them, room was available so booked.||||Daryl was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The recommendation to go to the Windermere Hotel for dinner was spot on.||||You can order breakfast to your room, cooked or otherwise.
